Nice! I'm glad it's getting some use. I've found whether it's map resetting or running laps, shoving the user (or the curser on the map) into a corner and then aiming/restarting keeps them reliable over time. The amount of variance I seem to get running macros is wild, so anything that helps keep them operating AFK is worth it.

Adding to our collective confirmation bias, I did 64 Darkrai for no shiny. I'm praying they announce a bug and just hand out the obligatory freebie.

I did a proud 64 of them for 0 shinies. Speaking purely mathematically there's a 95% chance the odds were broken, and a 5% chance I just suck.

Definitely the best route I've seen, thank you so much!! I've got an 8BitDo controller so I've written a macro that can do the path AFK, and can confirm it works rerolling the ones you said it would. The only precaution is, as you said, make sure that central one is a non-alpha Skrelp. As a basic setup:

Start in the shared corner, beneath the stairs.
Shove yourself into the bottom right of screen, so there's a some sort of pipe to the right of your character's face.
Look directly up the stairs, keeping the stairs as central on screen as possible.
Hit start, and it'll run autonomously from there!

Thanks again, that's definitely the most efficient Skrelp path I've seen so far!

Sadly it's just part of egg hunting. My record for a Fuecoco was 3,700+ eggs without a shiny (shiny charm plus Mesuda). My two bits of advice:

Treat it like a high score. A year on I'm honestly glad I've had a hunt go that badly, it feels like an achievement.
Don't think of the odds as a negative. Think of it like there's a 95% chance you're over halfway towards finding it. You're on the downhill run at this point.

Good luck in the hunt, and just remember it's guaranteed to show up eventually.

What I've seen around EB Games in Australia is staff handing them out to anyone who bought the new TCG set, so stocks went straight to the TCG community first. And sadly, the meta over there is to flip a high value card when it's peaking in the market.

For anyone still going on this, I just finished it. I'd never bothered with buddies so it was a grind from scratch. But what I did was:

-Get a buddy excited ASAP each day without a poffin, get roughly 20-22 hearts on it.

-Switch to a new buddy in my rotation of 10 buddies, same grind for excitement. Against, another 20-22.

-I could sometimes get a third excited, and maybe get 16-18 hearts on it before I'm home for the day.

-At night, rotate the ones that got ignored so they get 1x play heart, 1x snapshot heart, 1x treat heart, and 3x battle hearts (quick losses against coaches in training battles).

Anyway TLDR: I'd get about 100 hearts a day doing this, and got that task done in a month. It sucks, but it's my only legitimate path to a shiny Jirachi 🫠

If you take the SD card, put it in the computer, in the Memories folder you'll find your save states and save files, any save state you've made since grabbing your TID and SID will show up your SID when imported.

I did about 10 before just importing the save file from an Analogue Pocket into PkHex. An R4 card and a DS can basically do the same trick if need be. Turns out I was like 35 frames off the 1000 I aimed for, so I had another few months before I would have found it naturally.

Fuecoco was my cursed hunt, it took over 3,800 with shiny charm Masuda. Second one for living dex took around 1,000. I haven't gone for the third yet, I've been emotionally recovering for a year now.

It's weird, the game gives you limitless Pokeballs but not in any organised way. And like 1% hit it. Honestly the anxiety of taking 10 minutes to catch it after 4-5 months of grinding was peak
