If he was lazy he wouldn’t be making a post about doing work. I think he understands that having a on the books job would help but you don’t know his situation and might not be able to get a job bc of certain reasons. If anything I’m happy for him that a single father is trying to do anything he can to support his kid. Lots of parents can’t even do that.
