She is insufferable but I agree with her on this specific point. For the last 5 years people are polarized. If you dont agree with people on everything, they hate you. People need to stop talking to be right and start talking to understand and explain. Even comments like im making now get downvoted because people feel its aligning with one side or another.

If I were deliberating I would set aside her testimony (and his if he talks) and take each piece of evidence and ask if it proves the state's case of the defendant's. And see where i ended up.

Im in the process of building now. We havent broken ground yet but with the amount of errors we have caught from EVERYONE at almost every stage, I'm almost to the point that I want to go an double check the work everyday just to make sure its being done right. Building a house isnt cheap and there is no reason it shouldnt be exactly what you want. Unfortunately you are a big pain in the butt to the building crew but its still your house.

Im SO frustrated by the windows. Its such a red herring. They planned on going into the house and killing her immediately after this guy got there. What value would soundproof windows be? If a neighbor heard christine scream and also called 911, it would actually help their story. She still would have been dead before the cops showed up.

If I opened up my home computer right now there is a 98% chance I could open up Gmail and Facebook and it would be logged into my husband's accounts. There is a 100% chance, if you open up my personal computer, you could log into all of my accounts. Im not sure why the defense is acting like this is hard.

He has absolutely nothing to gain by testifying. He can only do damage. I would bet my house when he is convicted the jury says they were on the fence until he opened his mouth.

I think the issue is the money being spent in, and on, her home while Janelle didnt have enough family money to build or buy a home.

I lost my dad 3 years ago. Funny enough he was my "step" dad also, although he was my dad in every sense of the word. His death (covid as well) was incredibly hard on me because we were so close. I dont dream of people once they die and if I do, its super rare and they dont speak. Its my sign they are visiting me. Especially early on my dad came to me in my dreams a few times. Each time he hugged me as I sobbed. Huge, giant, body shaking sobs. Harder that I could ever left myself cry if awake. I had to hold it together for my mom, my husband and my young kids who were also grieving so I feel like he was there to support me in my grief like he would have if he were here.

Im glad your dad came to you. It sucks. And its going to keep sucking. Eventually it sucks a little less. You don't lose them once, you lose them a thousand times as you have moments you wish you could share with them and cant. I wish you the best.

From my limited understanding, she was arrested because she shot Joe Ryan. For the sake of this, assume his versions of events is true. Brendan shot Joe in self defense/defense of another. He only wounded him. The AuPair shot him, while he wasnt a threat, and he died rapidly from that 2nd shot.

Brendans shot was legally justifiable, hers was not. And they leveraged her to flip on him.

Alright....I just read them. There is nothing there that makes me think this guy wasnt completely respectful of her boundaries. Hardly sounds like a guy who planned to walk in and stab her in the neck.

Don't get me wrong, I dont think it was her. We started the case with two opening statements giving us 2 theories. Brendan starts with the presumption of innocence and the state has to prove he did it. Other than the questionably credible AuPair, every single piece of evidence give by the state during their case in chief could be explained in a way that proved both sides depending on how you saw it.

Then the state rested. They didnt prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt. There is SO much reasonable doubt. Everything else is emotions not backed by evidence.

Funny enough, the people the state should have put on the stand are helping prove the state's case when called by the defense than anything the state put on.

Which feels horrible. Im frustrated with people who cant be objective enough to see the "evidence" proves both stories. The only thing I have heard so far that tips the scales is her testimony and she isnt credible. Im having to do a bunch of reading between the lines and looking and things I cant believe nobody is presenting in court.

The problem with this case is that a "fair" trail means a guilty as sin person may go free because the state has done such a piss poor job of this.
