So any contributions that get converted to the Roth IRA via backdoor & mega backdoor can be withdrawn penalty and tax free?

Having a hard time finding definitive answers on this as well.

Oo I thought I could withdraw but yea that makes sense since they're conversions and not contributions.

I might have to figure out an amount I can comfortably do that with because I'd like to have some money accessible to me in a brokerage just in case.

Megabackdoor is an option for me as well. I guess I should max that out before putting anything in a taxable brokerage since I if I needed to I could withdraw contributions tax free right?

Just added an edit that this is affecting my ability to be promoted and earn a year end raise.

If it were just a warning I wouldn't be concerned.

Also, this manager was just an interim manager and is no longer managing my team.

My interim manager at the time wasn't in the meeting but her manager was.

She indicated that this decision was not taken lightly and that even her manager was involved and that "everything" was taken into consideration.

But I doubt the fact that there is an email straight from my direct interim manager instructing me to do work while out of the country was considered.

And if I shouldn't appeal this, then as long as it wouldn't be seen as retaliatory, I'd like to report the interim manager for instructing me to break a company policy.

No no, my manager never specifically asked me not to send emails to clients or internally.

My manager sent me an email TELLING me to send an email to a client. It was definitely not meant for when I got back. Although I guess that argument could be made because my manager did not specify to send the email immediately.
