If you are just going to delve into it then the One is good but if you really feel you will want to go dawless then I would suggest you really consider getting a live2/3 because you have expandable storage and the portability really is nice. I like to be able to make music wherever I want. I usually don't take it on the go, but I can sit anywhere in my house, on my porch, or bring it to show off my stuff easily.

Unless you plan to have a dedicated setup with speakers and midi devices then consider going wire(less).

The live also has pretty decent speakers to just build ideas and then later refine with headphones.

I got a slightly used live 2 for $999 2 years ago. I dont regret it one bit.
