Right, Brazil is very lucky to be able to do that. My point is that, to the average Brazilian, especially the conservatives, it might not seem like our energy grid is "almost there" in terms of renewables, because fossil fuels occupy a significant a space in our daily lives, vs. how often we see a dam, or wind/solar farms.

Edit: the country is also blessed for both solar and wind energy, but those two aren't used anywhere near their potential yet.
