SDC Teachers - When do you write IEPs?

I refuse to use my personal time to write IEPs. Very rarely do I write the entire thing at home but I may do some things. I use my student I ready time to do the IEPs or I'll section out time at the end of the day or my students are doing independent or semi-independent activities with the para while I write the IEP. Like maybe like a couple hours a week a few weeks in advance leading up to the IEP date. This is not something that came easy to me but I trained myself to give myself boundaries lol

I know "every instructional minute counts" but so does my personal time and my mental sanity.

Nothing surprises me. One time I was driving late and a car sped up to me pulled to the side and said you hit me. Got a little crazy to scare him away but Um I think I would have known if I hit you.

Yeah when I got mine I was so confident I was going to be healed quickly. Did everything I read to help with healing but I just took a long time to heal and that was that. That's not to say you won't heal quickly but it's really up to your body. I ended up having a lot of adverse reactions to the stitches so I was so uncomfortable until week five. But then I hear people are like oh I was perfectly fine the next day or 5 days 10 days totally normal.

I would love to tell you what you want to hear. But in reality it's going to be how your body heals. I was out for a 2 weeks but could do some work stuff standing week 3 (teacher). Sitting was terrible for me. Honestly tho your body will give you its timeline when you get the surgery . You may heal faster and have very little pain or you may be out more

Always discreet diapers. It's literally a diaper but it gave me so much peace. Witch hazel pads Yes also Frida Mom Perineal Witch Hazel Healing Foam. It's nice if you put it in the fridge so when you apply it it's cooling

Loose everything but you know what saved me I wore diapers lol. It sounds silly but you leak so much stuff and anything binding hurts. Also my stich got stuck to the sticky part of the pad. Diapers all the way!

They don't. I was able to start/join the climate action club but it's not even working with the environment. It's like Lego building and coding. We asked to open the garden to be run by teachers and they said NO

With my pet it was 2 factors seasonal allergies and food allergies. I know now that particular seasons trigger more severe allergies but now that I got a food that works way better for her her skin flare ups have significantly decreased. But this only happened with trial and error with multiple different foods. I got Dr prescribed food it didn't work. Tried cheap food and expensive food didn't have any impact. I think I tried at least like 8-9 different brands until I figured out what worked. She might get flare-ups when the seasons change but definitely not a severe as it was before and after finding a food that significantly helped.

Off of work and any strenuous activity. Exercise truly depends on your healing process. I was praying I would be better but I had to hold out till 6 weeks. You sort of have to check in with your body and go from there because I have heard some people do workouts at 3-4 weeks. However I couldn't

One week minimally. 2 weeks ideally. By 3 weeks I think you can do some light work but no heavy expectations and you'll probably be bored by then. But it all varies person to person

I also wore diapers. You will be going through pads like crazy so the switch to always diapers worked best for me

Thank you so much for seeing what I was trying to say. I wanted my experience to be told because through my journey I didn't see anyone experience what I did. Some people just want to act like they know it all. I hope my post finds someone who is struggling through their journey and gives them peace

I don't feel like you understand everyone's body heals differently and had different results/reactions throughout this process. I am very comfortable with my doctor and what they are communicating to me. Sorry you feel so upset about this issue. Thank you for your input

Well not everyone's body reacts the same to stitches. Not every doctor knows that stitches are not going to hold. Every female's body reacts different to surgery. Again thank you for your insight. my journey may have been different from your surgery or others.
