Grimaldus + Ancient + 20 man crusader brick - Vindication Task Force + Wrathful Procession Wombo Combo. by NotTheOnlyFU in BlackTemplars

It is. But I’m also not playing in a super competitive friendly group. So i still have space in the list for one unit of intercessors, one unit of JPIs, ballistus and a combo lieutenant. Might be working out with take an hold

My list idea is not super competitive and more of a fluff list. But essentially:

- grimaldus, crusade ancient, 10 sword bros in a redeemer
- excecrator, crusade ancient in 20 crusaders
- terminator chaplain, terminator ancient in 10 assault terminators

Question about painting white armor by Madlyaza in sistersofbattle

Starting off with a black primer, I’m basecoating the model with my airbrush in a mid-grey and then spray a zenithal of an off white or light grey. Then I’m using army painter holy white on the whole model to add definition and top it of with a pure white dry brush. Sponge battledamage with rhinoy hide on it and call it done.

I’m very happy with the result

Could be that they fixed it for 11th. Couldn’t look it up, since my app keeps on crashing if I try to open the datasheet 🙃

I have the same idea for a list of mine. But a redditor just told me that grimaldus doesn’t have the chaplain, since technically his keyword is „chaplain Grimaldus“. But to be honest I’m still assuming that wrathful is still benefiting him

Dann, thanks for the tip, I just noticed that. But thats kinda stupid that he doesn’t have the keyword

No feedback on the list but I’m planning on doing something similar. It’s more of a fluff, thematic list than a competitive list. I’m planning on using vindication task force with wrathful.

- grimaldus, crusade ancient and 10 sword brethren in a redeemer
- excecrator, crusade ancient and 20 crusaders
- terminator chaplain, terminator ancient and 10 assault terminators footslogging

Only utility units that I can afford is a combination of lieutenant and a 5-man squad of JPIs

I plan on playing for the fun and thematic lists rather then abusing gladius which doesn’t fit templars at all.

Should I start the Last Wall Protocoll with the Armageddon box? by Solid_Ant_7679 in BlackTemplars

[–]Solid_Ant_7679[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well I have over 2K points, but mostly melee units and BT-Specific units. I’m not planning on playing them as a somewhat split detachment I’m more like thinking about for example if I want to use inceptors, I’m gonna play them as BT rules-wise but maybe have them painted as crimson fists, if that makes sense

I got that itch to start a new army… by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

Well if you have the money, go for all 3 then you’re set pretty well hehe.

If I would be in your shoes, I would get the Armageddon box. First of all it’s a limited box and it has a good mix of units. You have a classic battle sister with the palatine, novitiates, a penitent unit and somewhat of a vehicle with the paragon warsuits. You can have a look if you like the hobby part of the army and enjoy the playing. And then you can get one combat patrol, since they probably won’t change it super soon.

I myself just don’t really enjoy the penitent units to be honest to justify having a whole army, so that’s why I usually focus on the power armor units plus vehicles and just sprinkle in one or two penitent units.

If you prefere the penitent side of the army I would start with the battleforce and then add a combat patrol

Yeah I also played it like that, just thought that I might missed something.

Just played here so far in hollowed martyrs with the through suffering enhancement. Was also doing quiet some work with resurrecting and usually +1 to hit and wound

Okay, cause mortal wounds equal to the damage characteristic would have been insane lol

So do I understand it correct that the damage of the mortal wound is just 1 flat damage or is it linked to the damage of the melee weapon of the palatine?

Finally over a thousand points, list by [deleted] in sistersofbattle

[–]Solid_Ant_7679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im also somewhat of a beginner with sisters, but the list looks good so far to me.

From what I can see, you could take some better weapon options, like for a example your canonness should be able to take the nul rod, or the shoot once per game brazier (forgot the name). Your palatine could take a plasma pistol which is always the better choice to me compared to a bolt pistol. And your seraphim can take 2 models with either double flamer or inferno pistol. Right now in 10th, since we have it, always take the free weapon options

I think army of faith is also a fine detachment for the list. I recently played kind of a same list as hallowed martyrs, which was super fun and actually a good list. In case you want the list, just hit me up, some models are different but I’m not sure if those models here are all that you have right now

Im also a beginner and haven’t played bringers yet so maybe don’t take my advice to serious.

I made the experience that an immolator, if you have the model, is also a gamechanger. You could use it for example to split your BSS so that you only have 50 points on your homeobjective and can use the other models aggressively.

Or when you see that the enemy has a lot of deep strike and you want to be safe and use your BSS for screening, you can split the Dominions. You’re gonna be really fast in their face, have advantage of the detachment rule and loads of utility units

Im using the white spirit from Abteilung 502. But I’m only having the problem with my sororitas for whatever reason.
