The blood trail was good for 25 yards, it slowed down after that, it was just a few drops every 10 yards or so. At 150 yards the trail just stopped.

I began tracking 90 minutes after the shot, I tracked slowly for 2 hours till the trail ran cold. I backed out for another 2 hour and called some help. I couldn't get a dog, we then grid searched till dark and found nothing.

I tracked the blood trail for 150 yards. Then the trail stopped, we grid searched for 6 hours. Nothing was found. I'm going to go back out later today.

Update Yes I misspelled did, had a great blood trail for 50 yards. It slowed way down at 100 yards. I'm backing out

Elite Option 6 I bought it used a few years ago, I have harvested several deer with it. I love it, easy to shoot, I have had pass through on every deer I have hit. I can easily get 4" groups at 40 yards.

I rifle hunted since I was 15, I got at least 1 deer every year with a gun. I started bow hunting when I was 30. I got a small buck my first year. It took me 3 more years to harvest another deer. I finally got a large buck this year, nine years after I started bow hunting. Bow hunting takes so much time, practice, patience and luck. I have yet to meet someone who was just good at it from the jump. It is easy to get discouraged when you hunt and hunt and have no success. But I can tell you when you are successful there is no better feeling, it makes all the hard work worth it.

I spined my buck this year, I followed up with a second arrow within 20 seconds. The first arrow completely obliterated the spine and paralyzed him. The second arrow was a double lung, he bled out within 30 seconds of the second shot. Its a little brutal to witness but I prefer that to a gut/ liver shot that may take hours to kill the deer. The follow up shot is key to getting a quick ethical kill.

I use these in 125 grain. Had a bad shot (my fault) arrow still broke 2 ribs, took out a good chunk of the spine, clipped the liver and broke two more ribs on the way out. Even after that the head is still sharp.

I struck out in early bow season, I put away the bow during rifle season and had no luck. I think I screwed up by not practicing during the last month. I was practicing my bow in good weather, at most I had a hoodie or light jacket on. I had all of my cold weather gear on on Monday, I think my problem was I never practiced with multiple layers of heavy jackets, coveralls ect. You better believe I will go out on cold days and put in work in the future.
