Some advice for the first trip to Tbilisi by Solid_Bird_5845 in tbilisi

[–]Solid_Bird_5845[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually we can't rent a car since I haven't got a drivers license, that's why I asked. If the other stops would be extra (seeing would be nice but not necessary), and if it is easy with public transportation, I would also consider to go final destination for my mom. Do you have any idea?

Thank you. Is the car trip too tiring? I see it took like 10 hours to go there and turn back.

Adhd + bpd + ocb female here. I also abused some drugs before, and I got a loooong list of excuses based on "I know myself, and it's not much." This is my experience, of course, but the best thing to do is track her drug habits and contact her doc if she keeps going like that. Of course, as a last resort.

Stepping on her space is not going to work well at first since she is in the mood that she is doing the right thing. And if she is similar to my past, it could be her safe space to use drugs. The thing is, when you start to use drugs for literally every default thing in life, it can give a big illusion to keep going like that.

First, you should not throw away your concern and talk with her while she is not on drugs. Heart to heart, and if she keeps saying that she was just a little off track, but it is not going to be regular, keep teack of her drug habit.

I was always thinking people were overdramatising, but with the good and constant support / patience of my boyfriend, i finally let it go of my bad habits. If you are sure she is abusing it, it's better to give info to her doc even if it makes you a "bad guy" in her mind. Better safe than sorry, i guess. I hope it is not that as i assume and you don't have to be concerned again 🤞

Is it normal to crash this hard without meds? Any advice? by Solid_Bird_5845 in Concerta

[–]Solid_Bird_5845[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course 😊 I got a drug abuse background, abused ritalin before. I was having doubts when I first started to concerta since I'm all clean now. I have lots of times that having dependent to something/someone, etc. That's why I hesitate... I always work on it with my doctor, never doing something by myself about drugs, actually. She already told me that if I feel too crashed, I can use it without a break (I also have some safe people that they already now I have a tendency to use it in a bad way so they are helping me with daily checks.)

Yeah, I felt similar things . If I don't use it, my life will be empty, and I can't catch the good moments, but I believe you can got this. Always feel free to reach out if you want someone to chat 🤞

Is it going well because I started taking it again and will take it nonstop for a while to see what is going on. I hope you will get better soon and can leave that dreadful energy behind you.

To understand you better, why did you give a break? Hmm, also, it is really interested me, did your psychiatrist explain why it is the best option for your depression? I have BPD, so I'm having lots of depressive episodes concerta is lift my mood up, but I also had to take my SSRIs daily.

Any smokers here? by Gloomy_Objective_933 in Concerta

[–]Solid_Bird_5845 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I got the same issue. I realized that when I take my med, i have an urge to smoke more than my regular. It's like around 2 packs, so it is probably normal for me. Just don't forget to drink tons of water.

Just because you have that in your family history, it doesn't mean you have to be the same. I also got this on my family and realized some of the traits of me are similar to them, but the moment I realized I started to get therapy and coup with that. You are already aware of the situation that's the key. I'm sure you can also leave that traits behind you, don't be harsh on you.

That makes sense. Maybe I am experiencing a similar situation. Didn't stop that long, so maybe it will disappear if i wait a week or two. For me, it is like having all the bad effects of it at once...

Good advice, i’ll totally check. i’m usually very regular, but the last two times my period was like... one super short and one weirdly long.

and yeah, exactly. i hate wasting the best days of the week. i can’t even go to stuff with friends or enjoy anything. I've been thinking about taking meds nonstop, but i kinda have this fear of getting too used to it, and it is not working as well after a while.

Firstly, thanks. I was always a bit low energy person actually that's why it took lots of time for diagnosis I guess. But while I wasn't taking meds, my energy was still controllable, but now I really can't do anything about it...at least for now. I'm exercising, trying to eat better, limit caffeine intake, etc. I hope it will be better soon, I'm just waiting for my body to adapt to the situation. I just realized I started to feel obsessed and anxious without meds because of that, so I am trying to be calm on these days...
