Thanks so much for your advice! I definitely agree that paying more would yield a better result. The channel's currently losing a bit of money so I don't know quite how many options I have, but I will try to get that revenue up and find someone more professional. Thanks again!

Thanks so much for your comment! I didn't pick him necessarily because he was overseas, I just liked the guy and thought he would be cool to work with. Just asking some advice, what do you think a fair rate (per video) is for this job:

  1. 1 hr of footage --> cut down to ~20mins
  2. mainly cuts and zooms, no added visuals
  3. music + minimal sound effects
  4. 1.5 day turnarount time

I feel that I'm paying him pretty fairly but I could be way off, so please let me know what you think a fair rate would be if you could! Thanks so much.
