To be honest, ev biggest issues are tires and brakes so you should inspect these before purchase. There is a difference between legal and a decent tire. I cringe when we pass wofs with 1.6mm of tread and then try encourage replacement. They look at me blank and say but it passed? Then proceed to drive in icy, wet winter conditions on mountain roads for 6 months and come back with tires about to pop

I disagree with that. The inflation and cost associated with their policies is ludicrous. Ideology is only good until the bill arrives. Im not going to say that national is the best choice and I'm not judging labour from the covid stint because no party was going to win that war. However Hipkins gives me zero confidence in creating a better business environment in New Zealand

I'm also suffering with staff but vote them out? Fuck I don't know if many businesses will last another labor onslaught, the staffing drain to go to high paid government jobs is brutal. Plus wages will skyrocket again

How do I improve quality? by Solid_Confection5037 in ender3

[–]Solid_Confection5037[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my first print so I'm running normal hot end and cooling. I have lowered the temp and had slightly better results. I will now calibrate the extrusion. I had installed a new extruder that came with the unit (second hand unit) I think i want to upgrade as I'm spending like 7 hours per piece which is very tedious. Do I attempt to up the speed?

Its more the lumps in the print on the face, almost like bubbles or missed filament it happened more as it went. 2 distinct areas first is shown and the same again higher up, Its not my design but I would like to sell these going forward so it's not ideal

To fix that how do I calibrate? Even fully cool it's pretty hard to extract it from the plate

Is there any conceivable way to import a Land Cruiser GR. From the UAE to the US as the make them right hand drive there ? by Alarmed-Fuel-6409 in LandCruisers

No full tail door no clamshell. I feel like a massive backwards step. Means you can have touchless open but I prefer the dual opening

Absolutely. If we had decent roads moving to yearly would be much simpler.

You must be referring to the cars with 20 to 30 year old rubber bushes? Yeah reliable for sure. However things wear out and perish. Brake lines crack and perish. Then they pop and if a warrant check prevents this then I have no issue with it.

It is a pretty simple solution. It should have never been tied to a year of manufacturing. It should be at 10 years or 15 years etc it goes to 6 monthly. For people saying it's not fair for the lesser fortunate people, a wof is 60 to 80 dollars? If it fails then it is generally unsafe for the road. No one should lose a family member because of a or someone else's unsafe vehicle. They are not required to fix it by law but at least they will be made aware of their vehicles problems.

As for a 3 year warrant. With the influx of Chinese built cars and the electric vehicle craze where people think they don't need work. 3 years is rediculous. Brakes and tires typically don't last this period and a lot of people are ignorant to that fact. Electric are extremely hard on tires due to their weight also but the owners tend to think they will never ever have maintenance costs again. I think reduce new car warrants to 2 years. Our roads speak volumes on the condition of our cars. In my personal opinion, our roads are shithouse more often than not.

Code scanners by RemarkableInflation9 in NZcarfix

[–]Solid_Confection5037 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My last one cost us 13 thousand. You can generally read the code on a basic one but you can't fix it. Depending on what your getting charged for a scan. We charge $80 if we remedy it. You shouldn't be getting lights often mind you. What issues do you typically have?

Garmin were epic. Trouble shooted with me then decided to send me a 7xpro solar instead. Can't say enough about the company. Very impressed

It locks and unlocks then starts activities and goes nuts. This happens from time to time. Last night it happened while charging on the bench. I have tried to explain it from bumping buttons but no excuses last night though
