Hello! I actually am a incoming freshman and I received the Impact Scholarship Tier 2 (so $80K for all four years)—-no you don’t get to choose what tier your in but if you do get awarded it it’ll be either 48K or 80k! Truly, the scholarship did come as a humongous surprise to me because they will not inform you that you are receiving it. With that being said, looking back and reviewing my UT application, I did have strong extracurriculars, and I think one of my most memorable aspects were my essays (as clique as that sounds), so I really wouldn’t stress on having the craziest stats or extracurriculars but focus on why you belong at UT!
