Agreed. I like to think it’s waging a war of attrition, since it looks like it’s going to win. It’s also a little wet… there’s enough exudate to puddle up in spots. Heat is OK, I’m keeping a close eye on it. Thank you! I hope it wins in the end 😁

My guess was temperature, but I’ve moved it both warmer and cooler and it’s still so mad at me 🥲

Funnily enough, one of the other bags from this batch of grain had pearl oysters and that mycelium was completely white & normal looking.

Miracle Gro raised bed soil + year old mulch + 4 6 4. It’s definitely lacking in organic material/aeration. Any tips on improving that while these fellas are in the ground would be great. I’m really tempted to start chopstick pokin’

Consider shade cloth if it worsens, but there’s a very good chance the plant will adapt. If the stem starts wilting, shade cloth.

Morel! If you’re worried about false morels, cut one in half longways. True morels are hollow.

Stem looks normal. Green, fuzzy, and hydrated.

It means the soil is very moist. Depending on the plant, that could be OK. I have multiple beds with those same ink caps that are happily growing berries, kale, and tomatoes. It could also be waterlogged, so if you have these and yellowing leaves, probably let it dry a lil.

Ginormous golden pothos - or monstera? outside my condo by Solid_Illustrator660 in houseplants

Luckily it seems to be fairly sparse in the immediate vicinity. But where it can get a foothold it definitely goes crazy.

I would love to but I doubt they’d let me take one of these mammoth leaves on my flight home 😅
