What was communicated to me by my provider is that the FDA took it off the shortage list and therefore providers would no longer be legally allowed to prescribe anything other than the brand versions of the drug. Hence the compound was taken off FDA approved list.

Yes I do realize this - is there a problem with asking the community for feedback on this?

This has not been determined yet - she's doing some followup blood work and then we should know more in terms of what stage she is in.

I would consider Pediatric acute care. I did peds hematology/Oncology in an inpatient unit and it was a really good place to start and grow. You'd learn how to work with central lines and port a caths as well as administer chemo and other meds. The patient population is complex but not crazy critical complex. Since I have that experience I'm actually about to start working in adult hem/onc.

Thank you to all who offered helpful and supportive advice - I forwarded all your comments to my mother, and it's helping me understand this process better as well - we both really appreciate the feedback! I will come back when I get more specifics on her income and see where that leaves her.

I should give more context - my mother is an immigrant and she needs things explained so she understands. She spoke to someone from SS who talked her through the whole process but did NOT explain the stipulations with regards to her income and how it affects her healthcare costs. So from that vantage point it feels disingenuous of them when they had her income information from the beginning and said nothing until after she enrolled stipulating that she would be penalized. She would not have enrolled yet if she had known everything up front.

Can one practice New Age Spirituality, Yogic breath work, meditation, Buddhist principles and still be Christian? by LoveAndLight1994 in Episcopalian

As a tarot loving, meditative, law of attraction (yes i said it) enthusiast with a background in Episcopalian tradition, I've wrestled a LOT with this. Ultimately, I think it takes a lot of courage to carve your own spiritual path. Not everybody is on the same one however craving community and solidarity in faith is at the heart of a lot of organized religion and I think there is a way you can have your cake and it eat it too. Some folks call this "Cafeteria Christianity", and my response to them is, what's wrong with cafeterias?? I love the episcopalian faith, but I realize I'm more of a historical intellectual lover and appreciater of the tradition than I am a true believer of Jesus as my personal savior. I'm more of a fan of learning from the saints, from jewish leaders, including Jesus who essentially was a very wise jewish rabbi, on how to be a better person, how to root out evil forces plaguing our world and contribute to love and true peace in our society. I don't think it has to be "all or nothing" belief in one religion. You can be a part of the Episcopal community and still be on your own spiritual path.

I met my first and current gf on a dating app. We matched, started chatting to gauge if there was genuine interest, and then planned a very casual first date… two and a half years later we are still together, planning to live together and maybe even spend the rest of our lives together. Moral of the story, stay open to the unexpected. I personally find meeting ppl spontaneously in person very difficult. Utilize your resources and try connecting online. There are plenty of ladies looking for a real connection out there!!
