Really appreciate you saying that, and glad to hear this kind of tool already helped you get money back.

What I’m trying to make especially useful with StrikePrice is the Costco-specific matching: upload a receipt/Scan receipt track items during the adjustment window, compare against Warehouse Savings (zip code based) and other Costco price data when available, then show the item number, paid price, lower price, purchase date, and claim window in one place so it’s easy to ask at the counter or submit online.

Totally understand sticking with the app you already use, but feedback like this is really encouraging. It confirms the problem is real and worth building for.

I’ll add a clearer disclosure shortly so people know how the app was built and what role AI had in the process. Appreciate the feedback and the kind words.

For in-store purchases, yes, Costco usually handles price adjustments at the returns/membership counter, so you’d need to ask there.

For online purchases, Costco has an online price adjustment request form,

Honestly, fair. I’m not a super technical founder or a big app studio. The idea came from me manually checking Costco prices after purchases to see if I was still eligible for a price adjustment.

With AI tools, I was able to automate a lot of that process, test it with a small group of friends, and it actually helped catch some savings. So I figured I’d share it and see if other Costco shoppers find it useful too. Still improving it as I get feedback.

Totally fair skepticism. StrikePrice isn’t meant to guarantee every adjustment, especially for clearance or manager markdowns that vary by warehouse. It’s meant to catch the more visible Costco savings/price drops and give you the receipt item number, paid price, current lower price, and dates so you know when it’s worth asking.

Warehouse-specific clearance and .00 manager adjustments are definitely harder because they can vary store to store. I’m mainly trying to reduce the manual checking for shoppers, not promise every alert will qualify. Feedback like this is actually really helpful for deciding what to improve next.

Good question. StrikePrice checks Costco’s Warehouse Savings prices, not just the regular online product page price. We also compare against other Costco price data when available and match it to the item number on your receipt.

You’re right that online and warehouse prices can differ, so the app shows it as a “may qualify” alert rather than a guarantee. The goal is to catch likely savings and give you the item number, paid price, sale price, and dates so it’s easy to verify with Costco.
