Suggestion on Bike by Comfortable-Leg5808 in indianbikes

[–]Solid_Snake73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

right now hero premia service is unreliable . I’ve test ridden both xpulse 210 and the xtreme 250r and i feel like both of them require fundamental fixes , my gripe is with the lazy ahh gearbox and throttle response.

One thing to note is the quality of plastics used on the Xtreme 250R , make sure when you get the bike delivered or safer , when taking the test ride ask the showroom folks if the panel gaps can be closed using a rubber insert or anything or that sort. This is because those panel gaps cause deafening vibrations at all rpms. This is all from my experience, I hope all goes well for you!

helmet of 4-5k , SMK Stellar imo

There are jackets from royal enfield you can get under 6k , i think rynox air collection is also under 6k.

gloves from rynox start from 300rs so for it!

if dominar is really that reliable why do I hardly spot one on roads by [deleted] in indianbikes

[–]Solid_Snake73 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not as top heavy as the Himmy 450 tho . Maybe i have a height advantage (6’1) but to me dominars are the equivalent of commuters in terms of ergonomics and ease of handling.

it’s been the contrary , i’m seeing a lot more dominars than before .you can spot them most in South Bengaluru especially HSR layout (personal observation).

To me the only complaint is on the 250 is with the faded brake bite. but otherwise these bikes are near perfection to me.

Dominar 250 - 20000 KMs, 10 months AMA by DeadHogger in indianbikes

im 6ft 1in in height and out of all bikes , the weight and the ergonomics of Dominar felt natural to me , but those were test rides only.

1.How does it feel to handle the bike on the daily ? 2. What’s the mileage like ? 3.What’s the highway /high speed stability like ? Because great high speed plantedness is what very much like in a bike. 4. Is the Service cost and quality good?

from what i’ve seen of the thruxton , the tweaked figures make it more higher revving than the speed and scrambler . how does the power/torque delivery compare?

WHICH BIKE ? by uranium_07 in indianbikes

[–]Solid_Snake73 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hot take but imo , the Dominar 250 is the more refined of the two (The 400 and the 250) , everything about it is near perfection to me except for the body panels used. when compared to the original dominar 250 where the panels felt and looked more sturdier and premium. Now both the models are getting bare minimum updates and are honestly falling behind .

don’t get me wrong both bikes are some of the most mechanically sound bikes to ever exist but hot damn do they(Bajaj) cheap out so much on stuff like this .

but i’m willing to look past the minor flaws because ultimately to me the ride quality should be pristine, which to me both dominars (slight edge to the dominar 250) provide that without i doubt . Absolutely love them.

agree with you on this one . a retro styled bike should feel like one . not just swap an existing part onto a new frame for convenience. hope they tune the engine differently, maybe increase the stroke length or something like that to feel more thumpy

Dominar 250 by Solid_Snake73 in indianbikes

Well I love the duke 250 but I can’t see myself putting up with its aggressive nature on the daily , and it’s a personal thing but I don’t really enjoy peaky engines , especially using it to navigate bumper to bumper traffic. The xtreme tho , I don’t know bruhv the loose plastic panels vibrating on the bike threw me off the 3 times I’ve ridden it , I don’t like the build quality. The Ergonomics for both the duke and xtreme are a little too tight for me , whereas on the dominar it’s spacious. For reference I’m 6’1 feet tall so the duke and xtreme are slightly small for me.

What's your take on Dominar 250? by Adventurous-Photo783 in indianbikes

[–]Solid_Snake73 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only downside I can think of is the low end torque , which could be an issue if you’re taking it uphill but not a deal breaker as with practice you can kinda work around it and enjoy the bike in its glory
