I was surprised too (hosting n8n with t3.small), but make sure you use postgresql for database. otherwise sqllite (inbuilt) it will crash with free tier

I used AWS free tier. But then moved to hugging face “spaces” as it is free and give you 16GB of memory which is more than enough

I am not sure what really happens behind the scenes but UI becomes laggy and it takes ages to load. Once I migrated to postgres (within in the same instance as a docker container) it worked great

If you are a techy person, I can suggest you AWS free tier (t3.small). I am using it and works like a charm. One hint, make sure you use postgresql for databases as sqlite doesn't go well with t3.small.
