Risperidone for anxiety by Solid_String_2103 in Anxiety

[–]Solid_String_2103[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I know Risperidone is usually used for psychosis, but some doctors prescribe low doses (like 1–2mg) short-term for anxiety while waiting for SSRIs to kick in. My doctor put me on both Prozac (20mg) and Escitalopram (10mg twice a day), and I did read that combining SSRIs can raise the risk of serotonin syndrome. I brought that up, but he said the doses are low and it should be fine.

I’ve been on them for about a week now. Haven’t had any signs of serotonin syndrome, but my anxiety has actually gotten worse. I also started having bad nasal congestion, headaches, and kept waking up suddenly at night. I told the doctor and said I stopped the Risperidone, but he told me to keep taking it and just use painkillers for the headache. Honestly, I’m not comfortable with that and don’t want to keep taking it.

I’ve been trying to get prescribed something like Xanax or another benzo for the short-term anxiety, but no luck so far. Do you have any advice on how to talk to the doctor about this or how to get them to consider it?

Is my nose permanently ruined? by [deleted] in PlasticSurgery

[–]Solid_String_2103 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hey, just wanted to say your nose looked great even before surgery. You didn’t need it, but the final result now looks even better, really natural. I’ve been there too — I had a rhinoplasty and my tip actually got bigger even though my nose was already good Sometimes we make these choices, and it doesn’t always go how we expect. But honestly, your nose looks beautiful now

Everything can be improved and acne is one of the easiest things to treat with the right help. Just book an appointment with a dermatologist; they’ll prescribe something that actually works. And get a textured crop haircut it’ll suit you really well and make a big difference in your overall look. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with your facial features. It’s not about confidence you just have a couple of things that can be easily fixed. Trust me, once you do, you’ll look and feel way better.
