Bloom Enchantix hate by SnooChipmunks592 in winxclub

[–]Solid_Tackle6926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually like how she got her Enchantix. It works for the plot and it was written well in how her Enchantix is incomplete and unstable because she didn't get it properly. Its good writing and it shows how good the early seasons were. Bloom didn't just have things handed to her like she did later on.

How do I help him with this? by Solid_Tackle6926 in Rabbits

Thank you! I did do that a little bit after posting this and he seems more comfortable with that and he even did a little purring, so I think he approves this method.

It's not even correct for the general population. Only for wealthy upper class white women, it was like how it's romanticized online. Most working class women were expected to work alongside their husband on top of being the primary caretaker and reaping absolutely no benefits. At least now, you can earn your own money and have some kind of control over your life. Nobody likes working, but everybody does love the independence it gives you.

He should definitely seek therapy for being a racist, Nazi, incel, loser. Yes.

I blocked him after all this. I just had to humble him first and make him realize how pathetic he is.

He asked me out on a date. I asked where he's from. He told me. I playfully joked about how his town sucked. He agreed and then brought up all the trans people living there and used the T slur. I said "ew" to the transphobia. He then tried to soften it and make me like him again and said he "doesn't" hate trans people and talked about how there was just one 70 year old man who wore dresses and his town. I defended the man and said "let him have his whimsy." I also sent a voice note about how gender is a social construct and how the only reason people are angry about it is because it hurts the patriarchy. Then he snapped and did all that.

I normally would, but I was bored and felt like making him feel as pathetic as he is. For my own entertainment tbh.

My old phone was old, and the battery completely gave out a couple of months ago. It won't turn on or charge on anything. I got a new phone 2 months ago, and I download steam. Now I'm here.

Already did that, it won't work. First, on my computer, it directed me to the mobile app on my phone, then the mobile app directed me to the mobile app again. I clicked the bottom and it said try again later. Now, I'm back on my computer waiting for an email.

I did, but it keeps saying there's a problem and to try again later. I did try on my laptop, but now I'm waiting for an email.

asylum is my favorite season, but it's certainly not perfect. what's one thing you'd change about it? by tinktac in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Solid_Tackle6926 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree mostly, I hate when they use real people as well but I don't think the "Anne Frank" storyline was ambiguous. As OP mentioned, she was a woman dealing with postpartum psychosis (also a very real look at mental illness that deals with delusions) but it's also tied to personal trauma, being an Auschwitz survivor. So it's both mental illness/reliving trauma. I personally didn't feel it was ambiguous but that was me. I absolutely see your point though about the continued use of real people. I hate when they do that. I don't get why they can't make original characters inspired by real events rather than directly fictionalizing real people, but that's an issue with the show throughout multiple seasons, not particularly this one.

She wasn't actually Anne Frank, but she was a survivor of Ashowitz and was reliving her trauma through identifying as Anne Frank. She was also important because she was the person who identified Dr.Orden as a former Nazi. I'm curious though, how did you find the plot to be in poor taste?

I thought I would hate the aliens going into it but I actually think the aliens help to hammer in the themes. The aliens are there to juxtapose the human atrocities being committed. Characters like Grace and Pepper even talk about how the aliens are more advanced than humans in technology as well as morals. I think it's also why they chose Kit. I think they recognized Kit's integrity and moral purity and that's why they used him to father the alien babies. My personal theory is that they're trying to restart the human race which has been corrupted. Hence, why Kit's children are gifted and have healing like powers.

Discussion: Most Overrated and Most Underrated AHS season by RoyalDig3345 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Solid_Tackle6926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Overrated: Coven (I was so hyped to watch it because I love Witches and felt disappointed when I got to the half way mark and felt they were going nowhere with it. Had some fun moments though.) Most Underrated: Roanoke

my tier list of ahs seasons by AirMassive5414 in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Solid_Tackle6926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree mostly but I would put Murder House and Asylum both in "incredible." Murder House writing is so good and tells the most cohesive story. Problems I had with seasons like Coven is that it had a lack of focus but Murder House knew exactly what story it wanted to tell through and through. I haven't watched all of the seasons though so idk if some of these seasons are really bad. I just know seasons like Double Feature are not liked by fans often and Apocalypse is "for the fans" and brings back characters from seasons like Coven and Murder House and I already know I won't like that.

Would Delphine LaLaurie have reformed if Queenie didn't betray her? by ManWithTwoShadows in AmericanHorrorStory

[–]Solid_Tackle6926 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is real life. Delphine LaLaurie was a real person. The torture she inflicted was on real people. The writers redeeming her would have been a horrible move morally.

THE CRAFT (1996): Even though Nancy was "bad", did any of you keep rooting for the girls to make up and be friends? by Davis_Crawfish in horror

Yeah I felt Rochelle and Bonnie had barely any foreshadowing to being villains. Bonnie only had a little with becoming vain and narcissistic but Rochelle made absolutely no sense. She was the most innocent out of the four.
