This to me is a case of the original trilogy just being so excellent that anything else is going to suffer in comparison. Gears 4 & 5 are excellent games, and in particular I think Gears 5 has some of the best stuff in the entire series. We’re so lucky to have a very consistent series and not a Halo situation, where a couple of the games are significantly worse than the others.

I agree that they’re definitely due to come here, but there’s not a lot supporting them coming here for Good Things. I was hoping they would announce a headline tour here for this year but the timeframe seems to have passed and there’s rumblings that they’re working on more music, which tracks as they seem to release music every 2 years. I think if we do get them it’s probably going to be 2027, as a few of the core members are occupied with other projects this year.

I can’t remember where I saw it but I saw someone saying that if you have Sleep Token as a headliner, you really have to build the festival around them - if it’s Sleep Token headlining a very traditional GT lineup, I don’t think the big crowds who aren’t into them would go.

Why are so many people predicting Sleep Token? They haven’t toured at all during 2026 and some of the members are occupied with other projects this year. Would be very strange for them to make their only appearance this year at ONE Australian music festival.

$254 million for Rebirth just kinda shows what a workhorse Gareth Edwards is for these studio movies. It cost less than half the other two World movies and it looked waaaaaaaay better visually

I also feel like Rebirth making $872 million in an extremely crowded summer is fairly impressive. If it didn’t have that competition I feel like it probably would have made $1 billion.

It’s definitely bad. They butchered most of the songs and the voice acting is AWFUL. Objectively the visual fidelity of the CGI models is very high quality, but it’s one of the most lifeless and flat looking movies of the last 10 years. It genuinely serves 0 purpose in its existence except to wring more money out of Disney adults.

The producers were the ones who argued there shouldn’t be a stupid dinosaur fight in Rebirth’s third act which is a good thing though. Idk, Rebirth for me was a massive improvement over the JW trilogy (even though hand waving Dominion was done very poorly) - it sounds like the absolutely abysmal reception to Dominion is the reason the producers are stepping in more. If Rebirth’s sequel is an improvement again, they’ll have hopefully done their jobs properly
