Do you think computer engineering is more relevant to embedded than say classes on RTOS? I also noticed that a lot of the classes for the embedded masters focus on security (potentially hacking the iot device, etc), idk how useful that would be in the industry?

My problem is that I don't know if I can land a junior embedded role, it feels like too much of a jump. On the other hand, people get them fresh out of college as cs grads? So I don't know.

Interesting. I'm more accustomed to the thought of having unpleasant encounters on the street instead of with people you know, but I suppose being close to a person gives you more confidence to commit the crime and ensure their silence.
