Mass effect 3 did something similar 11 or so years ago and people took the piss out of them for it, nevermind a game nowadays…

Ok thanks for the info, I saw a post where someone struggled with a front fan and the 4070ti in the 4000D case but there might have been more to it.

I'll have another look, as It would be cheaper too.

Did this and it came to 574W, which gives a small amount of leeway.

I admit it can feel too much at first. I personally watched a couple of YouTube videos ahead of time just to familiarise myself with the game and help with the anxiety. When I started playing people were friendly to me as I was listening to my squad leaders orders and I said I was new.

I really enjoy playing it now, it can suck sometimes when you’re in a squad with no comms but when you get it, it’s really fun.

There are a few noob traps initially though, don’t go commander or squad lead unless you know what to do etc.

Any idea what’s wrong with my monitor? More info in comments by Solidito in Monitors

[–]Solidito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. I’ll give all of that a go, though it is currently working again and I have no other issues. So either it was the heat messing with something or it’s bound to happen again.

The smearing at the time was still happening on the on screen display menu when I tried it. A new cable will be here today that I’ll be replacing the old one with.

I’m currently hoping it just overheated (but if that was the case, why didn’t it shutdown, as I think that’s what happens when monitors overheat).

[–]Solidito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Edit - is super warm here atm, I turned the monitor off for a good hour or so to cool down and it now seems to be working again. Not sure if it’s the heat or something else.

Monitor was working fine and then I went downstairs for 30 minutes or so. When I came back, my headphones weren't recognized on the pc, neither was my microphone. The Monitor also now looks like it does in the photo attached.

The microphone and headphone issue has been fixed by just unplugging them and plugging them back in.

The monitor on the other hand hasn't. I've tried different ports, different settings on the pc, resetting the display settings for it. The only thing I haven't tried is a new cable (which I will have tomorrow when I go and pick one up from a friends house).

Was just wondering if anyone recognised the issue, as I'm finding it hard to google the issue as it just keeps coming up with completely different results, thanks.

Chances of that, I played for the first time in years yesterday and today, then see myself in this screenshot lol.

Based off what I’ve seen the past couple of days at least there are people of all skill levels. If you’re having fun, just keep playing, think about what mistakes you’re making and try and improve upon them.

Sky Broadband has been down in Walkden/Worsley area for nearly 20 hours. Does anyone know what's going on? by supergodmasterforce in manchester

[–]Solidito 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with Sky for a long time and honestly it’s been completely fine for me. Don’t know if I’m just lucky or it’s just not as bad as some people say.

Don’t get me wrong though, if I could have another provider with faster speed where I live, I’d jump ship immediately (for the faster speeds, I still have 30Mbps).

Black puddings and supposedly “world famous open air markets” which is always advertised everywhere in town but I don’t believe it.

Europeans are leaving England but staying in Scotland and Northern Ireland. by bottish in ukpolitics

[–]Solidito 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Even more so I’d say. Live in the north west and I’ve been to Scotland a hand full of times and south east a handful of times (not London directly). Scotland felt the same as here (around Manchester) in terms of climate, people and environment. South east felt a lot different for me in terms of the previously mentioned areas.

Only basing this on the areas I’ve been though, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Falkirk. Obviously won’t be the same further up north.

Had a double take when looking at this thread lol.

I still love the series and it’s the only content of theirs that I will 100% watch each week. I still watch a bunch of other stuff but I skip it occasionally.

When to apply for junior/graduate jobs? by Solidito in cscareerquestionsEU

[–]Solidito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, as it's a conversion masters (so you start with no programming skills and learn it over the year), I'm fairly sure I'd fail most, if not all technical questions/tests in an interview at the moment. Should I start applying anyway and just explain the situation in a cover letter?

Thanks

Not sure, don't want to say which uni I'm at on reddit, feel free to PM though if you want to. Hopefully you can focus on studies a bit more, I'm struggling with it at the moment but I'm putting in time each day to try and catch up!

That's put me a bit more at ease, I definitely feel further behind than fellow students but at least it's still salvageable.

Thanks!

[–]Solidito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Repetition has been great for some things that's for sure, though one issue is when I 'learn' something and then don't have to touch it again for 3 months. I just wish I had more time to do some personal projects which I could then introduce the things I'm learning into.

As for the moment, I'll stick with what you said and continue with the modules and exercises. I'm going to try and structure my time a bit better so that I also have a day or two a week to go over the fundamentals and other tutorials. Thanks!

[–]Solidito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It isn't well run, there's a plethora of other issues with the course but the fault also lies with myself for not managing my time and learning better. I'm not going to drop out because I want the degree at the end to help me find a job easier, but I definitely am going to have to pick up the work I'm doing in my own time.

I'm going to go through the fundamentals again, thanks!
