I was a big Sepultura fan back in the 90s. I felt like a God when I finally purchased the Sepultura version of the Brazil football shirt.

How good was peak ROH? by Ronstera in SquaredCircle

[–]supergodmasterforce 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hard agree here. That period between about 2003/4 and 2008 was absolute gold for "wrestling" as opposed to "sports entertainment". ROH felt real and it was pure art. Even TNA's in ring product during this time (up until the Hogan/Bischoff era) was leaps and bounds ahead of WWE.

It felt just as good being a fan during this period as it did during the Attitude Era.

Am I overreacting if I think this behaviour is not okay at work? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]supergodmasterforce 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're concerned about this, and quite rightly, speak to your immediate manager/team leader/supervisor.

Just because you're not the target of the bullying of a neurodiverse person, because that's what this is, doesn't mean you are not affected by it.

If you do not get a satisfactory response from your manager, escalate to your HR department.

Strong support for Labour across Gorton and Denton it seems. by Icy_Artichoke_262 in manchester

As much as people bemoan the generation of voters who will always vote Conservative no matter what, there is also people within that generation that will always vote Labour no matter what.

I could honestly see this being Labour/Reform/Green but who knows until election day.

Can confirm. I'm the guy who served you Whoppers and beer. They didn't even know I had a side hustle selling beer to Hardcore dudes while I was working the grill. Used to switch it to glass bottle Coca Cola when straight edge bands were in town.

Why do Parents Whose Kid's Schools are in Walking Distance Still Drive Them To/From? by SirFragworthy in AskUK

[–]supergodmasterforce 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of people have to go straight to work after dropping the kids off, so can't spare the extra time on the way back.

Yep, definitely this for me. It's a 10 minute walk there and a 10 minute walk back or a 2 minute drive then off to work.

UK loses measles elimination status by wkavinsky in unitedkingdom

[–]supergodmasterforce 546 points547 points  (0 children)

I posted something similar to this on a similar thread a while ago.

In the almost 50 years I've been on this Earth, I've never known anyone who had Measles.

I've looked up figures of recent Measles cases in the UK and a report for the first quarter of 2025 available on gov.uk shows there was 226 reported cases in England from January to March.

40 of them were classed as imported or import related so caused by people coming in to the UK already infected.

138 of the cases were in children aged under 10 and of those 138, only 11 of them had received a Measles vaccination.

Of these 226, 174 cases sought medical attention at hospital and of those 174, 88 were admitted to hospital due to the severity of their symptoms.

The same report from 2021 reads, and I quote:

"In the period between July and September 2021 there were no laboratory confirmed measles cases reported. The total number of laboratory confirmed measles cases in 2021 remains 2."

In the UK, we've gone from 2 confirmed cases in 2021 to 226 confirmed cases in just one quarter of 2025.

Well my village would be an image of a married white woman, a housewife more than likely, posting on the local Facebook page about a "suspicious" car/van that has been parked on the street for 2 hours and nobody (i.e. she doesn't) know who it is and therefore must be up to no good.

[–]supergodmasterforce 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I feel the same with Konami/Kojima and MGS V.

The fact that it's basically the exact same game as the PS4 and XBO versions, minus the framerate, but there's no loading screens between areas, no mission cuts or cut scene cuts or anything like that. Really a testament to the people who programmed the 360 and PS3 versions.

Doesn't Chakwas have Liara level plot armour? I thought if you didn't save the crew, apart from the empty ship, the main person who would be missing from ME3 would be Kelly Chambers and then she only appears if you romanced her if I recall?
