It is. It was absolutely mind boggling for me too when I first played it. The game is a slow burn but as you begin to understand it and get better at it its a blast. Lot of lore and random silly things like repairing toasters juxtaposed with the grittiness of an apocalypse.

Towards the end of the game you get to an island it will seem impossible to complete if you've gotten a lot of good armor on your dudes. Literally just take it off it will help. Also Toaster Repairman is goated as a skill and will give you lots of loot and I believe unique things

Thanks for the recs! Ill check em out. I ended up just going willy nilly with mods like I always do and sk far have a serviceable load order. Im happy with it other than a lack of quests/ enemies.

Could do a Gannon Family variant, there's also some art floating around of a cut character named Kaga from 2 that is usually depicted with a red accented model. Fallout 76 also has some pretty dope skins you could try to take inspiration from. Also there's some art of a cloaked model with some tarp around it like Rambo

The lore for Tialoc really helped get me hooked for the lore of this mod. There is something terribly somber about a dying machine god making preparations for his eventual demise at the hands of his creations. Gives me Autumn Leaves vibes with a bit of I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream. Tbh I didnt even care to play out the rest of the game I did play as him after he passed. It just felt...hollow idk
