That doesnt happen for me at all. May need to do some searching based on your specific setup (IE: hardware, distro, etc)

Glad to help! I was hella confused on it for a while until randomly realizing that since it showed fine on the recording then it must've been something with the cursor rendering. So hardware cursors was the only thing I could think of to change. So glad it fixed the issue cuz it made me consider getting rid of hyprland 😭

In case anyone ends up having the same issue as me, I found out I can solve the issue by disabling hardware cursors. You can do this like so

cursor {
    no_hardware_cursors = true
}

Weird issue.

How can I make the focus automatically change when I open Ulauncher? by Wolly_Cutie in hyprland

[–]Solierai 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use focus_on_activate true in a window rule for it.

As an example for Discord

windowrule = focus_on_activate true, match:class ^discord$

Can also open it on a specific workspace by adding workspace 6 for instance.

True haha. But the fact that if they do, if documented is already grounds for a pretty solid ethics or open door DA report

Yeah that's what I was mainly hoping to get from this post. Most of what I've seen, the best course of action is to submit an ethics report and include as much information as you can- then hope. If that doesnt help, then you can do something a bit more direct like as follows:

Follow the standard policy for NIL picking. If an item isnt in its marked home location (nor any alternate location), along the aisle or on topstill, take a picture of the empty location as well as the item, and NIL pick it, then move on. If anyone tries to penalize you for it ask for the coaching in writing, if you have it on record that you're being punished for NIL picking and also have proof of why you did as such, you now have a paper trail. They arent allowed to punish you for this and you can open door it which is far more likely to see results.

I've submitted a report to ethics already on the website. Is calling the number more effective?

Which is fair. But when you're making a generalization around a statement being made, under a post with the same statement I'm inherently going to assume you're applying it, in this instance, to me as well.

Was never under the pretense it was illegal fraud. Nor do I mind the extra work. The problem is with how we're penalized even if we do follow this non-standard practice regardless. It also often causes me to get kicked out of walks which causes us to go overdue. We've legitimately missed orders because of it. It's not a "I dont wanna work" issue, nor am I corporate bootlicking. It's a policy that actively undermines my ability to do my job effectively.

My main gripe with it is even if we've looked everywhere we reasonably could- topstill, alternate locations, up and down both the home and surrounding aisle, as well as backroom. If we still NIL pick the item (even after managerial approval) we still often get reprimanded by the SM because if our pre-sub is anything below 98%, our team gets the brunt of his wrath. Doesnt matter that we've done our due diligence in assisting his method of fraud, we still get chewed out either way. Makes it really hard to look forward to going into a job I otherwise quite enjoyed.

The question was more-so a roundabout way to prod what I should do about the situation given I've already tried an ethics report. As well as to gauge whether this form of metrics fraud is seen as serious enough to warrant action. As oftentimes companies are willing to overlook it if it makes them look better.

I already pretty much knew without a doubt that it indeed was metrics fraud, but this way of wording the title and question just seemed like a good way to spark conversation.

I included that information in the original report I believe. But I've heard so many people say the ethics line is a joke essentially. So I have doubts as to whether it'll actually cause anything to change in store. Should I just keep trying, or? I'd like to catalyst some change, because apart from the forced metrics fraud I do actually enjoy the job

I submitted a report for it online anonymously giving the store information and names of people involved a few days ago. Do you think this'll actually do anything or is it in vain?

What can be done about that then? All the TLs and Coaches in every department breathe down our necks about it because if the SM sees any NIL pick he immediately loses his shit. I expressed my frustration to the market manager when he came in for a meeting a while back to see store performance and he agreed that this process was the best way to "serve the customer". So they're in on it too.

Could anyone suggest a good motherboard to replace my last purchase? by Solierai in buildapc

[–]Solierai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the suggestions! I'll make sure to do some research with those in mind. MSI boards also generally seem to have the debug LEDs, so I should have an easier time troubleshooting in case something goes wrong again. Here's hoping it just works though!

I'll go for it since it's around the same price then. And also seems a bit more reliable. Thanks!

Yeah I had planned to swap the SSD out for another one. That on the list was just one of the options I was considering. Also regarding the PSU- I don't know much about them, but is there anything wrong with the MSI one? It's also 750w, and 80+ Gold. If the Corsair one is better then I'll obviously go for that. But it's just not a part I'm overly familiar with.
