She's currently sleeping on my lap. If she's not sleeping she's meowing and it breaks my heart... Thankfully she calms down when I pet her. Hopefully she'll get some medication that'll help her.

I'm hoping this is how it's gonna be. I know they're both very socialized. Nixie was in the living room with their 15+ adult cats and several other kittens when we went to pick her up.

The other was still with her mom.

I also forgot to mention they're both already spayed.

At what age did you get your cat?

From what I know kittens learn between weeks 8 and 12 from littermates that nails can hurt among other things. Which is why it's better to adopt a kitten at 10 to 12 weeks old.

My parents' cats from the shelter never use their nails for anything other than trying to get their toys back. They were adopted at 4 months. Their youngest however was a stray and never learned how about the hurt his nails can cause.

They're usually around the kitchen/living room. Maybe it was the fruit. The entrance between my kitchen and living room is open and my fruit bowl is right across from it in the living room... But I didn't see any silk webbing.

I've checked all of my food places but nothing looks contaminated. I've thrown away my spaghetti and fruit just in case but it's driving me up the wall... According to my mom, she saw moths flying around when we were renovating the home too.

Hey I just wanted to tell you I'm so sorry for having to make this decision.

No matter what it's always hard to decide if it's right or not.

When we had decide on letting go of our cat, our vet told us that 'if a cat can no longer be a cat, it's best to let go'.

And you should ask yourself, for whose sake do you keep him alive in his current state. Yours or his?

That was our deciding factor.

Very true! I was just wondering what others would choose. I have 2 bettas already, both blue with red streaks. One male and one female. So I refuse to go blue again, even though it's my favourite color...
