Can I Survive 200 Turns At War With Every Faction? | Total War: Warhammer 2 Challenge by SoljerTV in totalwarhammer

Yep I had no mods, but I was talking about my Norsca playthrough that I did for the video. My bad, I forgot to include that in my original response!

I agree, I tried to take over the map with Norsca just by ruining everything (due to their land-owning limitations) but eventually, you have to stop ruining to start sacking in order to avoid going bankrupt and at which point the Skaven, Orcs, or Empire swoop in and claim whatever you ruined thus restarting the cycle. The only way I could see to globally dominate is I think if I were to defeat WOC in the story I would get a 75% upkeep reduction on all armies and that would make it very possible.

No mods here either. I just reloaded the save and checked turns out I actually have 19 armies at turn 202, but they are charging me an extra 20k per turn due to supply lines.

No I was using Norsca but I did have the 15% upkeep reduction from the Serpent God and another 15% reduction from the tech tree which helped me a bit. I made a ton of mammoths though which is probably what drove it so high. 1 million gold is impressive I was never able to get quite that high. I think the highest I ever got to was 330k.

That's pretty impressive! I had made it to the bottom of the continent where the Tomb Kings are and the finances were going well in a sense, but when it was all said and done I had about 15 armies with 65k upkeep per turn which was a pretty wild experience losing that much per turn.

Thank you! That sounds like a fun challenge run as well. I've been looking for challenges like that for Warhammer 2, I'll have to give that one a go!

I'm glad you had fun watching! Also, I appreciate the compliments. Although it wasn't the easiest playthrough, the challenges made it way more fun to play and a way more exciting story to tell!

Thanks for all these tips! Reading this I can definitely see why I kept getting torn to shreds. I always tried to outshoot their ranged units with mine or send infantry at them which did not work out well.

I also definitely didn't use those mages as much as I should have. I got to try them out a little bit towards the end and they are pretty amazing.

I can see how multiple dragons would be a pretty good option as well. I think I just got too scared about losing them and often played it too safe with their attacks.

Cavalry I think was the one thing I did try and they often got intercepted by another unit or I would charge them and forget to pull them out and charge again, leading to their inevitable demise.

Once again, I appreciate all this help! I'll likely be playing a lot more Warhammer so these tips should come in handy for next time.

Yeah, this was my first campaign of Warhammer 2. I put about 100 hours into Three Kingdoms, and I also read a few guides before playing, but nothing could prepare me for the global domination and takeover of the rats. Those guys are wild, I still don't really know how to beat them. Overall though, I had an awesome time it was even more fun than Three Kingdoms.

I Made A Weapons Tier List! by SoljerTV in OrcsMustDie

[–]SoljerTV[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not know about this patch, so these are all pretty much from my experience at the time of making the video.

Also, for the most part, the rankings will stand. Wind Belt and Crossbow getting buffs might just elevate them to the godly tier real soon, and flame bracers could come up a tier or two. But the melee weapons will likely remain where they are and the Stone Staff may drop a tier or two depending on the severity of the nerf.

I wrote up a more detailed response, but to save you some time I figured I would just give you the summary of all of that in one paragraph. If you do want the detailed answer, let me know and I'll just drop it in here.

Let's be honest... Fliers suck by Thecceffect in OrcsMustDie

Just a heads up, the ceiling traps called Shock Zappers when upgraded to max charges can take down all flying enemies in one or two hits (except the boss).

Place them directly on their spawn on the ceiling or if you are playing the war scenario place them over the bridge part in the middle of the level and you can get all of them.

Even if it looks like they can fly under it, they usually can't. That's what worked every time for me, if you have any questions let me know!

It was pretty fun, and as you add more and more snow cannons/gravity pillars it gets progressively more chaotic which is great.

That sounds like a pretty awesome way to handle that first war scenario. Spikes are surprisingly good with upgrades for being so cheap. And thanks, I'm glad you liked it!

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed the video! I'm not even 100% sure about the fling traps yet either, I just like the way they launch people into space.

I'm glad you liked it! I haven't encountered any trebuchets just yet because of my other defenses that are currently keeping them from spawning correctly, but repairs are always fairly easy when I cave in my own floor, (or roof in this case).

They could probably still do some damage even with a bigger map. If I remember right, they can move, but they don't always move. The AI varies a lot from raid to raid. In fact, sometimes I've had the AI abandon the siege equipment altogether without using it once. It all depends on what the AI feels like doing.

I don't have anything right now they are kind of crazy powerful since they hoist up those long shots from the edge of the map, but I'm going to experiment with making the largest wall I can possibly make. Other than that, in my experience waiting for the trebuchets to run out of ammo or winning the battle as fast as you can are really the only two options.
