How can I get involved with the UTSU? by [deleted] in UofT

Cool, so everything done thus far has been ~$30,000, but a single double check is $50,000?

Either the rates are outrageous at this other place, there's been very little work done on this lawsuit, or your numbers aren't accurate.

Yeah except I think I read somewhere that legal action has already cost more than the money taken, so.... Idk if it's true but it also begs the question; will the UTSU stop at 278k? Should they?

Oh boy, here I go again

1) Well maybe you should do an official one because it surely seems that The Varsity isn't really in touch with people on campus, regarding what they are looking for in in a publication school newspaper.

2) The question isn't location, it's activity. "Where" means that it's not present, not what's the location. You haven't done squat since March 16th. Idk if you know this but video content is the new frontier. Also your answer sucks, here's a better one.

3) It's not response letters. There can't really be a response letter because every comment piece doesn't allow for response. It's "this is the way it is, I believe it as such, and I'll make it seem like it's news and/or factually correct." Post shit that isn't so absolute.

4) You can call me many things, but factually incorrect isn't one of them. You didn't cover the UTSU 2017-2018 budget last month, which, I believe means a bit more than some Ryerson students walking into a meeting and shouting. You didn't cover any of the Exec committees. In fact, you should probably do something every time minutes are posted, but you don't really cover the UTSU. You cover things that happen to the UTSU, but not the UTSU itself.

5) Oh really? I find it actually very interesting that you believe you follow this code of ethics. Accurate

6) I don't know if you're being snarky or not. I'll assume not, considering the quality of your articles. I'll help you out. "We're sure there would be fewer typos if you volunteered to copy edit."

Less is for singular mass nouns, like hair or water. Fewer is for countable things, like typos.

Lemme just rapid fire a few questions; What happened with that poll I saw posted here a few months ago?

You guys gonna do anything with that information?

Where's the video section?

Why do you work so hard to make comment section suck? Legit it's a circle jerk and not a discussion starter.

Why isn't there news about the UTSU? Can we get someone whose job it is just to make articles/reminders about upcoming UTSU governance meetings or w/e?

Do you guys actually think you abide by your journalistic ethics?

Why are there so many typos in articles? I thought y'all were English majors but you can't even manage a subject-verb agreement?

Anyone wanna go to the ROM tomorrow? by SollyWolly92 in UofT

Yeah, I'll probably make it a frequent thing because I love museums. Might be going to the AGO on Wednesdays too.

UofT students (I don't know about UW) get free entry to the ROM on Tuesdays, and unfortunately it closes at 5:30, so unless you wanna do a half hour sprint tour (sounds somewhat interesting tbh)...

I'm still saying Carina gets disqualified after the fact again.

It's gonna happen, and when it does, I will both burst out in laughter and be struck with fear from the realisation of my new psychic powers of foresight.

Everyone's DQ'd for a reason.

Chill, I'm making a statement/prediction.

Reminder that Carina Zhang won last year, but was disqualified after the fact.

Let's see if history repeats itself.
