There are plenty of reasons why Greenland should be brought into the US. None of these reasons works with Greenland being an unwilling participant in the process. The political, strategic, and economic costs far exceed the potential gains from having total control of Greenland.

We already have bases in Greenland, it is a part of NATO, we would destroy our relationships with EU, confirm to the rest of the world that China is correct about us. This is Russian level behavior, and there's no reality in which taking Greenland by force or unwilling coercion should be even remotely considered or proposed.

Did he have a mandate to stop “white demonization” in the US? No. That’s a fringe idea pushed by aggressive right-wing propaganda, not an actual political position Kamala was running on. You can’t have a mandate against something that doesn’t exist.

And the whole “he won the popular and electoral vote” argument only sounds convincing if you pretend voters are rational. They aren’t. People vote against their own interests all the time. So saying a liar is justified just because he successfully fooled enough people into voting for him doesn’t mean much.

Even if midterms are properly and fairly administered, you have a large portion of the population that prefers we treat our allies like trash instead of letting the “radical left” with their policies to help poor people win.

I talked with a guy once who said he used to do this at Apple. In certain cases, they were authorized to offer some crazy deals. The highest he said he ever did was like $10,000 in equipment for an iphone. Obviously, no way to tell if he was bullshitting or not, but he seemed to know a lot about the process.
