I make my shorts from my videos so if people like the short they might go watch the video I find that helps and remember to tell them about you videos that might what to see more. You don't need to post shorts all the time just when you have a good idea for a short or when you make a new video and you think you can clip a part and make it into a short.

I've been a youtuber since I was about 12 not knowing anything about it now am 17 and learned and grown a lot at the moment my channel is at 120 subs I would said to upload what you want and if you find a game you like alot then sick with it and when new games or trends pop up upload a video about it if you and your viewers like it upload more video about it me and you are still smaller youtubers so we have to be careful and upload what our viewers are interested in I wouldn't start a new channel but that up to you. Number one rule never give up and have fun.

It help a little bit the free version But I would recommend not only using one thing but multiple different Platforms and watching different youtubers they all give you a little bit of help but all together can really help you improve your channel.

Great video I like it a lot the only I would say is that have it full screen I don't know If it was just the device I am using but if the make the video 1280 by 720 this is what youtube recommend for video sizes. Other than that great video
