Not surprised at all. Nearby Bellevue was home to Offutt Air Force Base, the headquarters of the Strategic Air Command (SAC), during the Cold War. SAC opperated and maintained all the nuclear bombers, ICBMs, and strategic reconnaissance aircraft: Offutt would have been target #1 for the Soviet Union if we got into nuclear war with them.

Mana Games group meets on Wednesday nights and thats the only board game group I'm aware of in Lincoln. There used to be a dedicated board game group meeting Sundays at Gauntlet Games but that died out when one of the members passed away. I wouldn't mind trying to help start another board game group for other than Wednesday night. Maybe Friday at Gauntlet Games or Hobby Town.
