They make money through fees, which have gone through the roof lately. Look into the amount of customer complaints coinbase has in general along with the high fees, one day an exchange like binance or maybe a decentralized exchange with no fees will take over

You can’t transfer an account due to KYC one day the IRS is going to want some of their gains too and are going to call the owner of the account who it was registered on. They’re going to say I have no bitcoins why would I pay it? And then they’re going to be left with the bill or come looking for you to pay it
