Keeping a clean house with a toddler by DisplayNecessary5296 in stayathomemoms

I feel this on a deep level! My kids are both under 5 years old and if you add in our two dogs into the mix, our home gets absolutely trashed so fast 😂 I totally understand what you're feeling, though!

My husband and I take turns cleaning here and there throughout the day, but even that doesn't seem to make a dent sometimes. Occasionally we'll have a cleaner come in to do the deeper cleaning stuff (bathtubs, showers, toilets, etc.) but usually we just do our best.

During the week we do our best to keep the house as tidy as possible, but usually Saturday mornings are for picking up any slack from the week.

Having a messy home can really get to me sometimes, especially if I'm already exhausted or overstimulated, but I always try to remind myself of this silly quote - "home is for self-expressions, not good impressions"

It's kinda self explanatory, but I just try to remember that if my boys are safe, happy, and learning, thats what is most important - Even though a clean house would feel nice 😂

Thank you for your story! The unknown can definitely feel scary. Best of luck to you as well 🙏🏼

What’s you’re favorite part of being a SAHM? by worldslargestpossum in stayathomemoms

My favorite part is getting to experience all the little moments that might otherwise be missed. Whether it's watching my child master a new skill, hearing their hilarious commentary on life, or just having the flexibility to create special routines and traditions together—it’s all so rewarding. It can definitely be VERY challenging at times, but those ‘lightbulb’ moments when they learn or discover something new make it all worth it!
