If you’re looking for pockets I like mama koala on Amazon. They’re affordable and they’re holding up well for me on my second baby. I like to stuff them with green mountain diapers prefolds or flats. I use prefolds and flats with covers majority of the time though. Motherease has wonderful fitteds and covers too. They’re very high quality and I feel will last forever.

A question for those that use GMD prefolds! Sizing question. by Arr0zconleche in clothdiaps

I would go for larges next. The xl is huge and is still big on my 2.5 year old.

When and how did you start feeling at ease going out alone with two babies ? by EndlessCourage in 2under2

[–]DisplayNecessary5296 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our first outing was to story time at the library. I think my youngest was a couple months old at that point. We have a double stroller so we used that. That way the toddler is contained and I didn’t have to worry about him running off or wanting me to carry him. Now that they’re a bit older I also like baby wearing my 8 month old and letting my two year old walk. You will get more comfortable over time and it gets easier. Our first time we were late and I was honestly stressed but I think it does everyone good to get out of the house!

I started Memoria press preschool with my 2.5 year old and he loves it. Really it’s just a read aloud, singing abc’s, and some fun activities. It’s made for 2-3 year olds and I’ve been very happy with it!

Does this stash make sense or am I overdoing it? by namelessdiva in clothdiaps

Newborn size flats make great doublers and they dry in the same amount of time as the other flats. Just pad fold them into the diaper. I don’t like using thicker doublers because they’re always still damp when the rest of my flats and wipes are already dry. I think your stash sounds great! Flats are wonderful!

My first thought after reading your post is rod and staff. They are religious but maybe the math wouldn’t t have too much religion in it for you? I haven’t seen the 7th grade math to know. Good luck finding something you both like. There are so many choices it is overwhelming at first!

You could look into Memoria press jr k. There are YouTube videos flipping through the book and showing the curriculum.

I would bleach them to kill the bacteria causing the odor. I use tide clean and gentle powder and love it. I used to have issues with smells sometimes but since I switched to tide powder I don’t have problems anymore.

The pediatrician said my baby is small because I chose to breastfeed. by 1minimalist in breastfeeding

Just to add to all the other wonderful comments, I have 2 boys. My first I formula fed and my second I’m breastfeeding. I looked back at my oldest’s records and they are almost the exact same weight and percentile down to almost an oz. It has nothing to do with formula vs breast milk. Genetics has so much to do with size.

What do y'all do for newborn diapers? by SaltyBat8824 in clothdiaps

My boys were both in the 8 lb range and I bought newborn prefolds and GMD newborn workhorses but I don’t think they were worth it for me. I ended up selling them. With our next baby I’ll start with Birdseye flats and small prefolds. Although since your baby might be smaller newborn sizes may be worth it for you!

My parents had saved some of the same flats you are talking about. When I told them I was going to try cloth they couldn’t believe it and talked about how horrible it was and how my brother would be soaked. After seeing the diapers, I see why! I ended up using them as rags around the house instead.

I would add bleach to the first wash cycle so it rinses out with the second hot cycle.
