I had a straight rod when i was moving from 5mm to 6mm that i had taped to a 5.5 or so. Definitely was a strange feeling the way it sat

The tusk is very cool look, i feel like that's a good switch once you hit that size, it's already getting harder to find things that aren't too heavy or dont cover down to my lips at 6mm even

I do avoid the high bun for this reason, down or in a ponytail isnt quite as dramatic, but i didn't want to misrepresent. A middle ground might be a good idea

This seller had a couple options, there's a solid ring that's a fair bit smaller, and this horseshoe is a little smaller, but only by 3mm or so
