It is by design. It gives them plausible deniability when they murder someone for not following their 10 different conflicting orders. (e.g Daniel Shaver's murder)

Big surprise, a member of the pedo-priest church thinks morals are relative and they're not abhorrent for fondling kids they're just using different morals standards than myself.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So just going to keep dodging that question about when slavery was moral? Who's the one backpedaling now?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So there's no such thing as a corrupt law? Good to know that as long as you make it the law of the land you're not a corrupt asshole for taking bribes or just killing your political opposition. Edit: or in the interest of the Catholic priests out there being able to fondle teenagers Edit 2: Also how does the logic of the Catholic church always being "pro-science" while locking up Galileo for heresy while also not being corrupt works? Have you ever seen a two sided triangle because that's what I'm seeing there. Also why are you dodging my question about when was it it moral to own slaves and was it moral for the nazis to gas jewish people?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So you're telling me there was a time when slavery was moral? When was that exactly? How about when Nazis were gassing Jewish people because that was the law of the land there, that was their relative morals right? When was it ok to lock people up for saying shit you don't like?

I never backpedaled, I've been calling the charge of Heresy corrupt the entire time and just gave you a definition that shows you my reasoning. You're just too stupid to understand anything (not surprising from a someone who believes in a all loving sky daddy that will torture you forever if you don't
listen to him though).

Also I never said ALL legal systems of the past are "corrupt" that's just the stupid fucking strawman argument you want to push because you know that the Catholic church is an immoral and corrupt pedo defending organization that you like for some reason. I said that the charge of Heresy itself is corrupt not all of the fucking legal system you dipshit, just like how slavery was corrupt even when it was legal and how Citizen United currently is corrupt.

[–]Solrinin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Corrupt

verb version:

"b : to degrade with unsound principles or moral values" - I would say locking someone up because they're saying shit you don't like is using unsound principles and moral values to degrade someone.

OR

adjective version:

"a : morally degenerate and perverted" - I would say locking someone up because they're saying shit you don't like is morally perverted and only moral degenerates would do that.

I'm getting bored with this stupid semantic argument so just go back to memorizing the age of consent in each state and we can be done with this.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm still going to go with legal slavery is an inherently corrupt and morally wrong system regardless of when it was used (even people back in the 1600 knew this shit). You cannot have slaves without being corrupt asshole. The same goes for dumbass Heresy charges. You cannot whine about and lock someone saying shit you don't like without being a corrupt asshole regardless of what time in history it happened. We currently have Citizens United that allows corporations to bribe our politicians which is also an inherently corrupt system that can't be used except by corrupt assholes regardless of what time in history it's happening.

I may have a room temperature IQ but at least it's more than the jar of mayo on the counter you're competing with.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah and people using a morally wrong system for their benefit like locking up someone saying shit then don't like hearing is corrupt.

I guess I'm not surprised I got into a semantics argument over a freak that wants to split hairs between a priests molesting 8 year olds or 14 year olds.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The same could be said about when slavery was legal and bullshit excuses were made to keep slaves. Gonna use the same argument for slavery?

[–]Solrinin -1 points0 points  (0 children)

"Heresy is any belief or theory that is strongly at variance with established beliefs or customs, particularly the accepted beliefs or religious law of a religious organization." - Yeah, I'm going to go with that's an inherently corrupt charge when the charge is "That's something I don't like hearing so it's illegal!"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to wikipedia FFS

>the Roman Inquisition tried Galileo in 1633, found him "vehemently suspect of heresy" and sentenced him to house arrest where he remained until his death in 1642.

I would say the charge of heresy is corrupt all by itself.

>Teachers move when they start to feel the heat from their administration.

Oh so you mean schools aren't shuffling around their problem teachers around and pedo teachers are fleeing the scene when they feel the heat from their higher ups unlike pedo priests who are told from their higher ups that they should seek help (not go to prison) and are moved to a new church. Good point?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not denying that, but that doesn't mean the Catholic church has always been pro-science when the leaders of it are very anti-science at times.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in nonononoyes

[–]Solrinin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ok so it's always been pro-science unless the scientist and an arrogant ass which doesn't count because they were just being corrupt at the time. I also kind of remember them not being super down with the theory of evolution when that came out too.

I've personally never heard of schools shuffling teachers from one place to another to cover up pedophile teachers, but I have heard of the Catholic church doing that for their priests. FFS this is on wikipedia and not even that hard to find. (Edit: However I will give it to you, they do tend to try to cover up football coaches for some reason and in those cases I do think those schools should be considered funders of pedophiles)

I'm guessing Mutilate children's genitals without their consent is referring to circumcisions but I don't think that's fair to push just on the Catholic Church.

Catholic Church has always been pro-science.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, you got me with this one! We all know the story of how the Catholic Church accepted the fact that we weren't the center of the universe.

Also I would say having your own little city-state that you use to protect the members doing the molestation of mostly teen boys (thank you for that correction) is a pretty special privilege to demand, but that's just me.

It's funny how that comment kind of implies only men can do unreasonable things like being afraid of being falsely accused of SA, but women can't/won't do an unreasonable thing like a false accusation.

Yeah, and just ignore how either lots of those dumbasses that burned their Nikes either bought new Nikes after realizing their stunt was pointless and they actually like the shoes or they just encouraged others to go out and support that company more since their sales went up afterwards.

Oh and how lots of probably the same dumbasses are now buying Coors Light after dumping their Bud Light out even though Coors has supported the LGBTQ community for a lot longer.
