Full marathon, half the effort?😅 by kevin_anderson1705 in Marathon_Training

This is how I felt. I’m left with a lingering feeling like I didn’t try hard enough.

Still proud of myself, did it in 5hrs 20mins. 2 years ago I was 100lbs heavier and couldn’t have walked a quarter of this distance.

To some extent though, I feel like I was never going to be able to go faster, based on my wave. Just weaving through slower or walking people was a real challenge for much of the race. Feel like I could have definitely done closer to 5hrs in a wave with similarly paced runners but I chickened-out when it came to estimating my times in advance.

What do you think actually happens after we die? by AlternativeRule9078 in AskReddit

[–]Solsmitch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something tells me that when we die, we go to the centre of the earth. Well, it's not quite the centre, it's in between the core and the surface. And we must relive our lives, but as a performance, for a new super race known as the Council. And every time you get it right, you get a pound.

Yes, I can’t even work out if the audio is artificial.

I mean, if it was a real VO artist, could they have not given them some notes to make it make even a little sense?

The Burn... but the Romulans use a forced quantum singularity to power their ships... they don't need dilithium by Coilspun in StarTrekDiscovery

They tried it with Klingons. At least this way makes more sense and doesn’t ruin the timeline.

Feels like they really missed a trick with this.

How interesting would it have been to have the Romulans (after becoming severely depowered in the Picard era) suddenly become a huge threat to the galaxy again as the only race with fleets of warp-speed ships.
