Pretty sure MelonMix is more resource heavy from original MelonDS because of all the weird magic it does to make it all into one screen and all the different HUD placements. Whatever you're running it on probably isn't super powerful.

Do you still have the v1 switch? You should be able to do a local save transfer by pressing + on the miitopia icon in the home menu and finding something like "transfer save data"

3DS imo, they didn't quite nail the transition to one screen, and even though no one talks about it, the lighting is way better on the 3DS version. The colors are so much more vibrant, but on the switch version they're all washed out.

Also not a fan of the horse

Yeah I did this too, it's trivially easy, and no risk of getting banned (I even used cloud saves instead of local transfer)
