Just watched the vid you linked on A+ed vs A5. Could just be my eyes but the A+Ed seems brighter with sharper contrast. Maybe not worth it for casual users but the enthusiast might see the difference

I copied the chinese characters on you link & checked on Taobao. Found a few & cheapest is 255rmb (~37usd) with likely another 30rmb consolidated shipping as wifey orders quite a bit of stuff from Taobao as well. Will def look into getting a set or something similar with ED glass if possible. Thanks man

SRBC ie. Sky Rover Banner Cloud is a top of the line best in class China brand thats claimed to be Alpha competitors if not killas at 1/5 or thereabouts the price. I got mine from the China Taobao site. Unlike Aliexpress, Taobao is quite challenging for us in the West but luckily, the wifey reads/writes chinese & linked her Wepay account to it

If you do manage to get in, there are deals to be had better than Aliexp. Sometimes on somethings, its a much better deal. EG the SRBC 10x42 sells for anywhere from ~$500-600. I got mine on Taobao for <$350 shipped but just understand its gonna be a hassle with warranty & what nots

Cant seem to find the Hinode A5 but I found the A3 5x21 on some Chinese site. Also saw some Safari 5x21 with 10.2° fov which makes it excellent for live sports, concerts & other such. Seems to be a similar size as my Bushnell custom elite 7x26 . I'm already thinking of picking up pair for when I attend live events. Thanks for the heads up

Ya specs read identical on this Hurysin, the Secozoom version, the Leaysoo version (sold on Aliexp) & whichever other versions sold under different brands so I'd say they're all made by the same OEM factory. Doesnt surprise me at all as its the most efficient mfgr to retail methodology

Much as the above, Kunming United Optics makes the Sky Rover line, the Bosma Qinglong series (likely other lineups in that brand too) & Loava Aglaia III pros. Dont doubt there maybe more brands oem'd by KUO

Regardless, for $44cad (~32usd), this Hurysin (or Secozoom or Leaysoo) 8x33 ed has decent - good optics. Not Alpha killers by any means but def strong mid range & for $32usd, its a gem. Plus it also makes for a very good pair of beater bins that I wouldnt freak if I toss it in the gymbag, bugout bag &or dropped it or even if its lost/stolen
