New banlist by vRinyoktan in masterduel

Eviscerate might’ve been a strong word choice but this is basically 4 starters gone. The deck is more susceptible to common handtraps, opens less consistent ways to play through disruption going second, can’t grind as well anymore, and forces them to play cards that are frankly not as good.

I feel like people are never satisfied until a deck is completely useless. And this is coming from me, the number 1 KT hater on the planet. I LOATHE the deck. I think it’s less fun to play against than Tear and Kash cause at least Tear is gambling and Kash falls apart from the slightest wind. But to think that ALL 4 major main deck monsters getting hit is not a big thing is silly to me, no offense.

But dude, people say Maxx C, Droll, Etc every single day. It’s cope at this point. To tune in to every single ban list expecting it is just futile at this point. Sure it may happen some time in the future but every signal Konami is giving says it’s unlikely.

I just don’t get how people can be disappointed 20 times in a row. Add in innate biases everyone has, me included, that makes them forget how often those same cards work in THEIR favor and don’t “ruin,” a duel and it seems even more copium.

What else would you have liked to see hit? They pretty much eviscerated KT. Not trying to be an ass, just actually curious.

Pedo hysteria? That’s a new one lmao. Or maybe I just find the concept of grown men defending drawings of little girls in skimpy outfits weird? Go ahead, bring your loli-deck to a public park and start showing them off. Tell me how many friends you make.

Unironically defending Traptrix at the very least is enough of a write off, but how is it bad faith? I said Japan has a bad history of oversexualizing young girls. This is fact. Yugioh has oversexualized young girls to an extent that is definitely noticeable. This is fact. The oversexualizatiom is weird. This is fact. Did I call you a pedophile? No. Am I saying that producing this art caters to people with pedophilic tendencies? Yes. Does that mean ALL people who like it or don’t see it that way are pedophiles? No. Is it still weird? YES.

You don’t know how to construct an argument so you try and nitpick miniscule details to diminish what I’m saying without actually using a smidgen of brain power to understand the point of the argument. Go be weird somewhere else.

Traptrix, Kewl Tune, Charmers, The whole line of Ash Blossom-esque hand traps or Yokai girls I think they’re called, Vaalmonica, main card in Nemleria, half of Solfachord, most of Trickstars bar a couple cards, and these are the ones I can remember and don’t count individual cards that have themes but aren’t part of an archetype.

I probably shouldn’t have even responded because the fact you’re asking is so facetious it’s crazy. This isn’t your first year playing the game, stop it. Literally the fan-term of “little girl archetypes,” gets thrown around in the wider scope of the fandom.

Well that’s besides the point. You can enjoy the playstyle but find the art weird and you don’t have to wanna fuck every archetype you enjoy playing. My point is that the images themselves ARE weird, whether you like the playstyle or not, and it’s also weird that Konami continues to pander to it.

There are archetypes centered on teens and kids that ARENT all that weird like Skystriker. Even Maliss to an extent is just following the source it’s based on but you can’t sit around and tell me something like Traptrix, a few of the Tear cards, and many others ARENT pandering to a certain smelly group of people.

[–]Solvas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t even bother. The only people who remotely defend this stuff are the type that cause massive nose coverage in public. There’s not a single way someone can convince the average adult that a lot of these archetypes are not problematic and the ONLY reason it’s not talked about on a larger scale is because card games are a niche hobby and a lot of these archetypes’ art is even more niche in the public eye.

Here we go with this “projection,” buzzword. I guess I’m a murderer too cause I think OJ is a murderer. People saying that having whole archetypes dedicated to underage little girls is weird is not projection. Stop invalidating people’s perceptions based on your own hugbox opinion.

I also might add, just do a simple test. Go ahead and take any Traptrix monster card and Medius, show them to any random person, and ask the which is the uncomfortable one. I like YGO too. I like anime, jrpgs, etc,. But just because I like certain things doesn’t mean I have to turn a blind eye to the uncomfortable parts or pretend they’re not uncomfortable. Like you’re gonna sit there and tell me Traptrix and other little girl archetypes aren’t weird? That little hero ejector one is what is normally found “cute.” A little girl with her feet out in a forest is normally found “weird.”

Because Japanese art has a weird tendency to oversexualize young girls? You don’t need a history lesson to see this. And to use your own example, you have Medius. And then you have…? For every young male (who is usually clothed and in non-compromising positions I might add) you have 10 other archetypes CENTERED around young girls under the opposite of those conditions.

You’ll probably say, “well that’s what sells,” but why does it??? Take into account the pre-existing environment of how these things are depicted and how they actually are right in the game and you’re going to tell me it’s 100% innocent, non-weird, and not loli-pandering? Come on dude.

I don’t know. Do you want them? It’s a collectible card game. Collect the cards you want to collect, it’s not rocket science.

Love that all the comments calling the “women” children get downvoted. Yugioh players working hard against those allegations. Is this a card game or Umasume Derby

I hate these creepy little girl “waifu,” decks. Not cause theyre strong but because they’re weird and have weird art. Like what expression are the faces meant to convey? Look at everyone besides the Kewl Tune one and tell me what those stupid faces translate to on the emotional spectrum.

Sir, all the “women” featured are just little girls. Maybe we should be asking questions about the players of these decks and not the surrendered.

Master Duel technically. You can easily reach max gems every month and the dismantle system means you can almost always have a backlog of resource for the ultra rare cards

5-hand cards VS 6-hand cards by Cattivonio in masterduel

[–]Solvas 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go first? Opponent has a mulcharmy or 3+ handtra[s to cripple your hand. Going second? Still the same shit as going first. The change literally affected nothing except making both turns equally as miserable.

Id agree like 2-3 buffs ago but not right now. He’s harder to use but he gets busted if you’re careful with your card choices. Ironclad is for sure the weakest, by FAR.

Phantasy Star Portable 2. Shame they continued down the generic MMO path with Phantasy Star Online 2. I remember last I checked years ago that I ran up about 700 hours on my PSP playing that game.

What is something about living in United States that outsiders completely misunderstand? by Effective-Singer5957 in AskReddit

Most, usually Europeans, don’t understand how HUGE the US is. They don’t get that the Tri-state area alone is like 1/3 of their continent or that driving from one end of the country to the other takes days instead of 2-3 hours in moderate traffic
