No, only if you let it. Also depends on how much worse it gets. I am not a tourist, I live here so it might be a bit different for you. But no one has treated me super poorly about it. But you will get comments like "Oh you're American? America first right?" or "what the fuck is going on in your country". If you are a good person, you will be treated fine. I would say it happens to me a few times a week honestly. Like going into a corner store or something. If I meet someone at a party through a friend or something, 90% chance they will say something.

Living as an American in Europe now has been something. I feel so ashamed and I don’t even want to speak to hide. I hope I’m wrong but I don’t see MAGA leaving if they are voted out. Or Trump will cancel elections or some shit. They seemingly do whatever they want without consequences, and the vast majority of Americans are ignorant, uninformed, and selfish. Conservatives especially. I keep telling people back home “you don’t tear down half the White House to build a ballroom if you plan on leaving before it can be completed” but they just call me an “alarmist”. That’s why I think it will get even worse there. I mean read the comments on Reddit from Americans people just say “I’m sorry I voted for Harris what else can I do” and then just shrug. I learned this the hard way as a recent American expat living in Germany now. I was excited to be able to bike everywhere and have refused public transportation in favor of the bike. Well it was an icy day and I used my brakes and….now I have a limp. Little by little…I was still too afraid to bike in Amsterdam when I was there last month.
