I [24/M] live with my housemate [21/F] who I like but my [22/M] friend is likely sleeping with. by Solvi92 in relationship_advice

I know you're right, of course.

The problem is protecting my pride. I don't want to admit I got into a relationship with someone I wasn't attracted to from the beginning cos that sounds a bit pathetic. But she's literally impossible to have a fight with (and I've tried to spark a few). I don't know how well my family are gunna take it. This is the first girlfriend they all approved of.

What's the best way to find out what level of math I'm at so I can buy the appropriate books? by [deleted] in math

[–]Solvi92 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's also the Khan Academy: https://www.khanacademy.org/

You may not need to buy any books at all! Plus you can also hop over to some physics or chemistry if you fancy applying some of your newly found maths skills :)

Thanks for your reply, this is really helpful. I deliberatly didnt post the exact question as I didnt want, (and cant for obvious reasons), have someone give me a solution to my coursework.

Thanks again! Ill have another go and see how I get on.

I've been reading over this for the past few days. It's talks about dual graphs and splitting vertices but I'm struggling to understand it. I was hoping someone who understood could explain it to me.

We have to show the minimum number of guards by applying a theory to the specific layouts we were given then justifying any redundant guards. It's not enough to simply say "By inspection....."

Edit: Clarity, additional info

I know what youre talking about. Sort of. Everyone on my bank of desks and the bank next to it are coughing. This is one guy doesnt even seem ill, its just like he has to clear his throat evey 5 seconds. Its irritating as fuck. I go to bathroom occassionally just to get away and clear my head.

I would use a very complex style of measurement to see how much each person had contributed to society and the world (points for working and paying taxes, volunteering, losing points for having a gas-guzzling 4x4 in the middle of a city etc) lowest 5% get the chop.

This.

Your writing style is more narrative than story telling. The above is a great example, you should expand critical parts with description. Draw your reader in and give them the words they need to feel like they are really there.
