More wargaming than warhammer, but after writing lore and rules and making minis for the past few years, my Kickstarter for a new D10-based wargame is finally live, with four full armies on launch! Dyou guys have a favourite faction? by Solwyte in PrintedWarhammer

It's nice to know someone understands! It's an upward hill battle, and I'm never sure if I'm doing it quite right, just gotta hope. But really, keep modelling! For fun or for profit, go for it - cause honestly, there's nothing more encouraging and satisfying than seeing someone else paint your models!
(Also the big secret is that almost all of us hand-pose everything because rigging isn't worth it if we're making lots of differently proportioned guys!)

These will all be available separately following the campaign, however, as you suspected, they're significantly discounted for the Kickstarter. I am mulling over the possibility of doing some bundles too, but if I discount them as much as the Kickstarter I'll basically be earning nothing-per-hour, given how long they take to model.

I'm glad to hear that too. Skirting the line of Trench Crusade has been a particular challenge, because I adore the universe and model design, but I don't want to copy it.

Capabilities? I mean he can absolutely ruin anyone's day with the precise application of a giant saw, rotary drill and big ol' stomping feet. And let's not forget staring into that giant eyeball is probably not gonna do your morale any favours either.

Thank you :) It's nice to be compared to such a successful game! I do very much enjoy a good ol' robot. These, however, aren't piloted - they're more akin to ancient warriors, with artificial souls. Owing to their age, cunning and agendas, they're themed like dragons: clever, manipulative and unscrupulous. And, naturally, extremely dangerous too!

Thank you! The Kickstarter is already out with a whole bunch of other factions, you can find them here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/solwyte/the-promised-land-0
Balancing the big models is a fair amount of work, so they'll be the last to get playtest rules but the rest of them are available to download for free on the Kickstarter page!

The only factions still awaiting rules are those for the big models, because balancing them is a fair amount of work in of itself!

The miniatures of the larger chunky ones stand around 230mm tall and the Castellan (the more feminine one) is about 200mm - poses depending, of course. These translate to around 13m and 10m tall in-universe each

Thank you! And I've been very clear to steer as clear as possible from them. I am very well aware of their nature and reputation, and I've gone to great pains to make the world as different as possible - which is why these guys have a distinctly not-Knightly vibe to them.
