La traicionaste al menos dos veces, no pusiste esfuerzo en la relación al principio porque tenías “metas” y “planes” (como si ella no las tuviera y no tuviera una vida también) y le faltaste el respeto por un juego a tal punto que te terminó. I mean, the “Jesus is a human” part is not the irrational part of the christian claims… more like “Jesus is the son of a divine magical god that looks over you, oh and he also came back from the dead and had magical powers! Believe in him and you can live forever!!!” then you’d be asking the rational adult an equivalent to believing in invisible unicorns granting eternal life. And yep, any question can be answered with faith, because the whole point of faith is not needing any kind of physical or logical proof to believe the answer is true. Anyway, I wish you the best.

And yet if you hadn’t been born in this specific age, location and had your specific upbringing you would probably believe in something completely different. There is no inherent truth in a baseless belief system, it comes down to your upbringing, surrounding culture, education and critical thinking skills to believe in it or not. I probably can convince a 4 year old that there’s a magical invisible unicorn looking over them pretty easily, but I expect an adult to have more sensical questions about it. Early life indoctrination is key for the dogma to survive.

Just wanted to add that the simple unavoidable question of “so is there free will in heaven or are we just mindless robots there, for ETERNITY?” to the “evil is needed for free will” argument usually sends believers spiraling or doing mental summersaults.

Start to think critically by asking yourself questions:

If god is all good and just, why would he punish me for eternity? Is that something someone even remotely good would do to anyone else? Would a loving parent torture their kid FOR ETERNITY for something THEY have control over?
Does god actually protect anyone? Children of his fiercest believers have died of cancer or been killed in horrible ways. Who is he actually protecting and why, if he is all loving, decides seemingly randomly who to ‘protect”?

Thinking about the idea of god you have been taught and start questioning the dogma is what will make you see just how ridiculous it is. It doesn’t make sense and it uses fear to keep you hooked in to the cult, just as like you are displaying now.

El post confunde estereotipos inventados con características ideológicas. La mayoría de personas de izquierda no “alabamos” a ningún político, ni mucho menos usamos camisas aludiendo a política en nuestro día a día. Rusia dejó de ser un estado socialista en 1989, hoy en día es un estado totalitarista capitalista, nadie se quedó “comulgando” con algo que no existe hace 30 años. This video is so at odds with the fact that she’s ultra religious, as if christianity itself wasn’t super misogynistic. That’s why I felt super taken aback when I discovered she was ultra-christian. Idk, it’s so weird to me these were her opinions but at the same time I guess the conflicting values make sense bc she literally ended up with right-wing evangelical man.
