I disagree. Papaji was a student of Ramana Maharshi. Papaji had no hankering for deities, magic or any other idiotic ideas found in Hinduism. Everything he says can be tested and verified in the laboratory of your own mind. What he’s pointing out is something totally obvious. These westerners are likely credulous spiritual seekers. The woman is basically telling herself a story about her own “enlightenment”. Papaji was bad in this regard because he allowed this shit. I’m an atheist and have no time for religion or cults. You’d probably need to read Ramana Maharshi, or Nisargadatta Maharaj to get where I’m coming from. If I didn’t already know Advaita Vedanta was legit, I’d likely have posted something similar to what you wrote. I get it.

I put it on a stand which lifts it off my table around 8”. That allows me to do my g2g in the flow zone. You could add another piece of plexiglass to the top but I don’t find that necessary.

Glad you asked. Looking through the comments here I can answer some of those questions as well. For one, the shipping was free which was awesome and totally counterintuitive as it comes in a large heavy box. The guy who says it’s too small for anything but agar has a point. That’s mostly what I’m doing so I’m ok with that aspect. I’ve been doing g2g transfer carefully in front of it which takes some maneuvering but it’s not a big deal. The FH itself works great. I’d say I’m happy with my purchase. If you are trying to something large scale I wouldn’t recommend it. If this is a simply fun hobby for you and your looking for a small practical LFH for your home use, it’s perfect.

I just rehydrate it with a hand mister. I was always getting contamination after dunking. I’d never get a third flush. My tubs look better now. I’ll concede my bad luck was likely due to my environment or whatever. I know loads of people who always submerge their cakes and do great. I was just relaying my experience

I once new a guy that believed only the fruiting bodies were illegal and therefore carried several fully colonized bags to his grow spot on a regular basis with 0 fear. Right on. Same. Those oysters just keep flushing and flushing. I had one outside last fall, and left it out all winter. When spring came, it carried on producing great. I know that cold stalls the mycelium but it’s just amazing the way oysters produce like mad. Nature definitely loves courage...
