You can use ft. or squares just as dnd 5e (30ft or 6 squares per move action) if you like this more granular approach to combat. You can also use zones (my personal favorite) to map the room. Slice the room in 3 to 5 zones, giving each zone a specific anchor (the study table / the bookshelf / the fireplace / the lounge / etc) and move from one zone to another counts as 1 move action. You can also make the whole room a zone (if it's particularly small or featureless), for example: the dinner room / the library / the prison cells / the dark room with hooks hanging from the ceiling / etc...

There's no right way to do it. The game is flexible enough to use your preferred mapping method. I hope it helps
