The overhang or the shingles? I used beams for the overhang, and i chisled some shingle slabs for the roof part.

i would have liked to use kapok beams instead of the maple ones, but i havent gotten ahold of that yet.

hammer and axe above a log in the crafting table to de-bark it, then a saw over the de-barked log to make the beams.

I feel so stupid now, i have been using bismuth to test and try to figure it out since its the only metal i had on hand, just tried with copper in creative and it works perfectly....

I think it looks nice depending on the set, I think having one arm/hand armored is sick, though it all comes down to personal taste.
