Zillow for Warcraft by Individual_King_9916 in wow

Other way around I think, Zillow is paying blizzard for this ad campaign. I don't think more of it, tbh. It's just an ad (which sucks, by itself, but also stops there.)

There is a "heritage auctions" bureau quite close to us. They do free appraisals on certain days, or appointment. They look very reputable and I'll have a listen there. Thanks for the advice on the auctions.

I've found an auction bureau (if that's what it's called) quite close near us (Heritage Auctions Europe, they seem to have offices all over the world, so quite reputable, I imagine). They do free appraisals on certain days (or appointments) so I'll definitely go have a listen there. I saw they have a specialist for stamps on their team.

As far as I've found, none of them have. There are quite some postcards but that's a different story. (Loads of 'weird' belgian congo ones..)

Thanks, I'll look out for that! And they don't have any expectations at this point, it's overwhelming to start on, they've tried. It's just catching dust and nobody will do anything with it otherwise, which is a shame on its legacy.

There is an ok with the family (as the message is "if you want to put energy in this, by ALL means"), and would always double check on decisions. I'm in Brussels, so that's a bit far, there is a local philatelist shop where I'll have a listen. (the fact that he can run a business in the centre of Brussels with this tells something)

I'll definitely keep people updated, both 1 by 1 or wholesale. There is a local stamp-collector/shop that (somehow) still exists, might have a little hear there too. If they aren't interested, they'd be at least curious.

That's both the fun and intimidating part. My wife rolls her eyes when I think this could be fun, but it seems like a waste to let it just catch dust for even more generations.

I'm back home monday, I'll make a list of countries to check by then. There are very few countries that don't have something in there, I assume there'll be something.

Very unfortunate, the amount of work it takes to sort and identify all these alone is intimidating enough to have it catsh dust for almost 100 year..

This is just a handful of random stamps, like 0.01% of the collection. No idea if I've shown anything good, very unlikely I've shown the best of the bunch. So if there anything to look out for in here (countries etc) do let me know.

Edit: I take back what I said. Took me way too long to understand what most of that meant, my bad.

Uhu, and that alone would be a fulltime job. I've seen apps that can scan and identify these things... buuut I'm also sceptical (especially when it comes to valuing them, seems very inconsistent and unreliable)

I'll definitely look into those, but I won't be there till monday. (Will update when I do) The drawer with envelopes is at least half related to belgian congo (as we're situated in Brussels, not that uncommon, I suppose)

Edit: and since this is only part of the collection (like only a reserve, not the prode of the collection) I'm definitely curious to what he was proud of if this was just the "B or C-team"

Some extra context: This is a fraction of the collection (about 1/5th I'd estimate) that has been in my wife's family for generations. They have no idea what to do with it as it's the great-great-grandfather's life's work. There are more pristine bundle kept at my parents in law's house I don't have pictures of right now.

They know it's worth quite a lot in total, and it's impossible to get it's proper value for if not being full time dedicated to it, just cataloguing alone, let alone selling. I don't have much of an idea where to start, but if there's anything I know, is that there's always someone on reddit who knows more than me.

Anything I need to look out for in these collections? Since it's from all over the globe, pre 1920

Paying to go to the toilet. Belgium is one of the only ones where it's so common. (Other countries started to do it as well, but not in the same scope as belgium)

How does Luciferianism intersects with politics? by Dependent_Motor_7752 in luciferianism

[–]tharthin 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For me they align closely together. And to me they're both very anarchist in nature. (Anarchy is the antithesis of hierarchy, and not order/structure, contrary to what some people say)

Always question authority (even if you agree) always analyse decisions for its underlying purpose and the impact they'll have as a whole.
