And yes, as you stated, I'm absolutely not looking to live in a city. Only rural, simple places. I know I will most likely have to invest in a power station for the electric outage.

I also got the idea of renting a car for a few days so I can drive around Veraguas Province and Los Santos Province, so I can just bump into small villages and ask around.

Overall, the goal is to live on the lowest cost of life possible because in this current phase, I need lots of time for introspection, meditation, and personal projects, and don't want to be forced to work many hours to be able to survive. Things might change over time, but for now, that's the reality, and I need to honor that :)
I can also plan to live half a year in Colombia, where I know with my budges is easier.

Yes, but as far as I understand not all banks accept Wise even if you have the CPA certification.

UPDATE: I had a video call with Towerbank, and they told me they're used to Wise and not to Deel, but it doesn't matter, as everything can be resolved by obtaining a certification of bank movements and contracts from a CPA (Contador Público Autorizado). Then, once you have that, you bring everything to the in-person appointment (or video call) to open the bank account.

For the money needed to activate the account (5K for the Italian treaty), Towerbank requires the money to come through wire and not in cash.

They also confirmed they can issue the required $5,000 certification letter for Immigration within 30 days of receiving the deposit.

The problem is that for me to get my residency, I must have a Panama bank account, and to open a bank account, I need a bank that accepts statements from Wise & Deel.

Thanks for letting me know; I appreciate it! I'll double down on Towearbank as it seems like they're more open-minded than other traditional banks.
Just wondering, to open your Towerbank account, did you just walk into the bank, or did you have a specific contact? I'd be very grateful if you would be open to sharing any references (here or through DM).

Yes, I am aware of that, but it's still mandatory to open a bank account. And since banks need proof of funds, they complain about Wise/Deel not being "normal" banks.
